Question about Samsung Galaxy Cell Phones

Open Question

We reset the galaxy 7 without first removing the gmail account and now phone cannot be activated for a different user

My husband reset his phone so our granddaughter could use it for her phone number. He wanted to remove all of his apps and pictures since he got a new phone. He set it back to factory reset, but did not delete his gmail account first so the phone thinks it has been stolen and is locked

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: want to factory reset an unlocked htc touch cdma (vogue)

All you have to do is... hold down the (RED) End button and the (GREEN) Send button at the same time, and while still holding them down POKE your stylus in the soft reset hole at the bottom of phone.
Soft Reset button is located to the right of the mini USB charging port, assuming the phone's screen is facing you.
Confirm you want to Format and Done!
P.S. Sometimes if you don't hold the Green and Red buttons hard enough they tend to unclick and reclick if you don't apply Firm and even pressure. Also if you still have trouble make sure the phone is in the BOOTING cycle when you attempt this.

SOURCE: my little brother was messing

dear friend,

1) Log in to your google account on your pc, the same account you registered for your phone

2) After logging in look at the top right corner of your inbox/email page, it would say your google username. Like say if you name is John, and you have a google id thats registered to your galaxy s as ,john123@gmail.com. Now this google id on the top right corner of the page would be displayed asjohn123@googlemail.com

3) Type in the google id, thats visible on the right hand top corner of your page (likejohn123@googlemail.com) into your galaxy s handset locked page, and type in the password.

TADA AND YOUR ON TO THE NEW SCREEN TELLING YOU TO PUT IN ANOTHER PATTERN.

or theres this one:
Take out the battery, the sim card, and the SD card leave the phone for 2 to 3 hours like that.. Put everything back in and boot up the phone.. This should work.
You could try this instead of waiting 3 hours, just remove battery and press power on switch for 20 seconds but this may not work.

or if you've tried everything, the only other way would be to take it to a Samsung mobile phone shop.
or do a factory reset:
THIS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA THOUGH
Go into recovery mode - vol up & home & power. Once in the menu, select factory reset. It may take you a couple of attempts to get to the recovery mode but it does work, just keep trying.

enjoy & Cheers

I forgot my password to get in my phone its a samsung galaxy on5 what do i do?

I had the same problem with my galaxy j7, I forgot the login password to get in to my phone. I tried a hard factory reset to manufacture settings. I had contacts and photos backed up with google account, so it was okay to erase and reset the phone. The login password was gone and the phone started like i had just bought it, but then I ran into another problem. My google user account was still logged in when I reset the phone. Androids and googles Factory Reset Protection was activated and a message said "an unauthorized attempt to factory reset was detected, please login with the original user email and password". I forgot the screensaver password and google account password I was still locked out of my phone. Two options I had then was the local phone repair store (boost mobile was going to charge 40$ to unlock my phone) recommended to try this first. The other option was to reset google account password and login to email from another computer for password verification and wait googles 72 hour FRP lockout to use new password to login. If you have any other questions or cant login email at jtobias1020@gmail.com

Unlocking problem

The easiest way to unlock your Android smartphone now is to completely reset it. Doing so will erase all your settings and files that are not stored on the memory card.

Depending on the model and maker of your smartphone (Samsung, HTC, LG etc.) the procedure might be slightly different but the idea is to enter tAndroid Recovery Mode and wipe all data + cache.

For example, to enter Recovery Mode on Samsung Galaxy S2 you need to:
1. Turn off the phone
2. Press Volume Up + Power button until it starts (here is the key difference. The keys needed to be pressed are different. Search on google for [SMARTPHONE_NAME] recovery menu ex: HTC Desire HD recovery menu, Samsung Galaxy S3 recovery menu, etc) 3. The Recovery Mode should show up in some seconds
4. Using the volume keys, select Wipe Data / Factory Reset and press menu or power to select.
5. Select "yes" using the same navigation as from step 4.
6. After resetting, it will return to main recovery screen. Do the same for cache partition
7. After cache partition reset is done, select Reboot
8. Phone reboots and now you'll have to set everything up again, but at least the password is removed.

Gmail account login

It would be easier for one of you to use a different browser, or different computers, else you'll each have the same issue after the other one uses the gmail account. On the logon page there is probably a link to sign on as a different user. Each of you will then have to enter your user name and pasword to login each time.

I put the swipe lock on then couldent remember it so i put it in 7 times an then it asked me for my gmail user name an password but its wnt exept this wat do i do plz ? dalefontana@gmail.com

Most Android phones have a coded limit on how many times someone is allowed to try to put in the correct swipe lock. On most Galaxy S variants the limit is 7. Once this is exceeded you can log in to your phone using the email and password you gave it when you first turned it on.

Make sure you are using the same Gmail address that is associated with your Market account on that phone, and that you are correctly typing your password.

If you still cannot access your phone, I would recommend taking it into a carrier store (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc... whichever carrier you use) and asking them to reset the phone's security. Most carriers have the ability to do this with most phones.
