Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone

1 Answer

Phone shows full battery then goes dead in an hour.

The phone shuts off after an hour or so of use and shows dead battery. I bought 2 new batteries and the problem persists. I take the SIM card out and mess with it then replace the battery and it goes from showing dead battery to fully charged battery. What gives?

If you turn your phone on the very first time you use it you are suppoesed to charge it for ten hours. or not quite ten but what I do is i charge it all night and turn it off. this way you get sleep and in the morning your phone should be fine. if not reset the settings this should do it.

You have to charge the batteries for nearly 8-10 hours. Brand new batteries also require a full recharge of 8-10 hours. Not only making sure the batteries are charged, have you changed the battery in the menu under type of batteries.

That definitely sounds like a battery problem to me. The battery is no longer holding a charge - there's very little chance that it's a hardware problem. New batteries can be quite pricey, especially if you buy them from your carrier. This website tends to have them fairly cheap - $13 for your battery. I would swap out the battery and your phone should be fine! http://www.batteries4less.com/motorola/razr-v3-v3 Alex

Battery doesn't last a day

The new battery was missing a little filler piece from the original.  We crafted one which snugged the battery in the holder.  The tolerances are quite tight and the battery needs to be snug.

My new itouch will not boot up. It just seems to be dead

Check the wall outlet where the Power Transformer is plugged in and verify that it has current by using a lamp or something like that. If ok, then...
Check the laptop battery for charge state. The indicater light should show full or good charge. If not, the battery could be dead....
If no current from the adapter, the battery goes dead in 2-3 hours of use.

Trouble staying powerd

It could be the battery(a dead cell in it) or the charger. If you use a lot of applications like music. im, navigator, web, that eats up the battery. have verizon test the battery.

Battery not holding a charge

Hi try this I had a new Blackberry which required charging every single day, take out battery and press and hold the on button on the phone for a min, then put battery back in and try charging again! mine is perfect now again.

Somebody told me that it's to do with static or something that builds up and flattens the batt.

bad battery.. RMA that back to where you bought it from. probably wasnt a new battery they sold you. id charge it from completely dead to completely full one more time and if you dont get at least an hour out of the batt then i would return it..
