Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Husqvarna 440 pull cord gets stuck in the out position. When I start to loosen screws on cord housing the cord returns to normal.

No foreign object in housing. Some wear on plastic engagement part even though fairly new with only a dozen starts.

SOURCE: Paper not feeding into printer: pulls to the right and jambs

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: my Chainsaw Husqvarna 345, won't start. With

I hope 2 different problems Marvin. I think the starter is most important, after you reply with findings we will take on the likely fuel delivery problem. Please do this and post back (below) with what you find.

Starter Handle difficult to pull:
1. Remove the starter cover. Does the starter operate smoothly? If yes, reinstall the cover and continue with 2, if not repair the starter.
2. Is the saw equipped with a decompression valve? Yes continue, no proceed with 3.
· Leave the ignition off, set the valve and pull the starter.
· Pull gently to release the valve. Is there a difference in the effort required?
· If yes continue with 3, if no repair or replace the decompression valve.
3. Was this saw perhaps operated in a lean condition (metal transfer from the piston to cylinder wall)? This may be caused by many things including but not limited to; leaky intake connections at the engine or carburetor; leaky crankcase seals; cracked fuel delivery lines; running on gasoline containing no 2-cycle oil.
· Disconnect the spark plug wire and remove the plug. Remove the muffler (clean it and the spark arrestor before reinstalling), hold a light at the plug hole and inspect the cylinder through the exhaust port. Is it smooth and shiny or does it appear speckled with dull gray spots or smears?
· Pull the starter slowly, inspect the piston as it rises and falls. Is it a dull gray without scratches and gouges?
· Hold the light at the exhaust port and look through the spark plug hole, inspect the cylinder above the exhaust port. Is it shiny and smooth or speckled with gray spots or smears?
Please Note: Any spots or smears on the cylinder or deep scratches and gouges in the piston indicate the saw was operated in a lean condition. Repair of this on a home owner quality saw often exceeds replacement cost. A repair estimate by an independent saw shop should be considered.
4. The last likely possibility is the saw has jumped timing. Inspect the flywheel and crankshaft under the starter cover. Are the woodruff key slots aligned and the key intact? Please take it to a good local saw seller/mechanic for a written diagnosis before authorizing any repair.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

Starter fluid removes what little lubrication is provided by the fuel mix. I suggest a teaspoon of mix into open carburetor throat or the plug hole. Do not go to speed with the air filter removed.

SOURCE: pull cord will not retract

This takes some mechanical skill and knowledge to fix...definitely would take it back..I would have thought these manufacturers could have fixed these idiotic quality control problems by now....it goes on and on and....I know, folks would say..ya get what ya pay for....so in this case, you paid for a useless machine that you never even were able to use...that is NOT what you were SUPPOSED to get now was it!

SOURCE: when we started using toro

You must use at least a 12 guage extention cord . Your current cord mostlikely can not handle those amount of amps for long duration of time.

My Husqvarna 128LD trimmer pull cord is stuck.

When it sticks, try loosening each screw a tad, sometimes people screw the bolts back in too much, also there has been times where a spacer or washer did not get put back after the person restrung the unit.

The machine isn't draining properly on the Normal cycle

those washers are common to get objects in the pumps : coins, trash and other objects etc.:pull the machine away from the wall then lean it back so you can access the pump through a hole in the bottom of the washer : a fillips head screw clamp holds the hose on to the bottom of the outer tube loosen the clamp pull the hose down slightly and reach in and pull out the plastic strainer empty it and then replace it and then return the hose and tighten the clamp then test for leaks

How to Replace v belt drive

For the YTH2246 only...

1. All you need for this job is a small 1/4" ratchet and a 3/8" socket to install/replace the 1/2" X 106" V-belt [(no. 68 in the mower deck schematic for this tractor) Husqvarna part # 532 40 51-43, Sears part # 33156, Rotary Outdoor Power Equipment Service Parts part # 912106 (12-7549)] ($36-$42)

2. Total time for this DIY job: about 15 minutes.

3. Lower the deck by moving the manual height adjuster to the lowest position (position 1).

4. The only screws you really need to remove are the rear retaining 3/8" hex-head screw of the LH cover mandrel and both from the RH mandrel cover. Just swing the left-side cover out to get access to the LH pulley.

5. Slightly pull from pulleys the legs of the keeper belt mandrel LH/RH to remove/insert the belt. Did I mention you don't need to loosen/remove any screw other than the ones mentioned above?

6. For more assistance, take a look at the schematic in the owner's manual or online at http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2006/HOUS2006_O0602060.pdf

I have an Echo CS-440 18" chain saw and the chain came off. Now that I have put it back on, it won't move either by hand or when the engine is running. Help

OK.  This is simple. Either the chain brake is engaged or the chain is too tight. Start by pulling back on the chain brake toward you.  There should be a "click" if the brake was released.  If the chain is still immovable, try resetting the chain tension. 1. remove the spark plug wire 2. loosen the two clutch cover nuts 3.hold the bar nose up and loosen the tension adjustment screw until the chain moves freely without becoming loose. 4. tighten both clutch cover nuts with the bar held up. 5. Pull the chain around the bar by hand.  Loosen the adjustment if you feel tight spots. 6. When the chain is properly tensioned, tighten clutch cover nuts securely.  Do not overtighten! 7.  Check chain brake operation and release. 8. Replace spark plug wire and operate  saw.
Hope this solution will Fixya.
