Question about Sony Televison & Video
I managed by hook and crook to get the recorder ''unlocked'' by pressing power, eject, others for periods of time but after being away for the weekend the recorder is now stuck again on WELCOME!
I have tried unsuccessfully to get it ''unlocked'' again.
I have similar problem. I found that if I remove the outer casing (disconnect from mains supply first) and disconnect the DVD cable to the units circuit board then power up again it would clear the problem, but on reconnecting it then trying again the ‘Welcome’ message returned as before. I’m guessing it’s a problem with the DVD drive or its connection. The only other thing I have noticed is, if you do manage to clear the ‘Welcome’ message and leave the unit switched on with the standby button the unit works as normal.
