Question about Video Game Consoles & Games

Open Question

I am setting up my wii u and the date/time screens scroll and won't set. Also, it won't allow me to accept the EULA.

This is the first time we have set up the system and I can't get past the EULA. I am more concerned about that than setting the correct date/time.

SOURCE: bios date and time problem

You need to replace the cmos battery in your computer. Theu are usually Cr2032 batteries which you should be able to pick up for about £1.

unplug your computer and open the case.
When you look at the motherboard you should be able to easily locate the cmos battery cliped onto the mobo.
Take the old battery out and insert the new one.
put the case back on and plug the pc into the mains again.
You will need to re-enter the date etc the next time you boot up, but the settings should be retained after that.

SOURCE: Can't reset Date & Time

What you have to do is go to the icon with the spanner (as shown above) and keep tabbing down. There are more options than just the ones you see in the screen (not just High Power , Auto, Set Tag, On), keep going down and it will show you the other options. You will see the date change icon about 7 or 8 down.

Just pull it out to the second click/position and adjust time. When you unscrew the crown, it is in winding position, when you pull it out to the first click - it is in day/date adjusting position, when you pull it further out to the second click - it is in time setting position. In case if you do not have screw down crown, everything is the same, just you do not have to unscrew the crown. Rate me, plz.

How to change time and date on my pc

are running a Windows computer you should place the mouse pointer over the date/time, usually at the bottom right corner of your screen. Right mouse click on the date/time and scroll down to "adjust date/time" and left mouse click on that. A window will appear allowing you to reset the date/time. You can also change the time zone to your particular time zone. Some O/S will allow you to select internet time, which automatically keeps the correct time.

I am trying to connect the internet to the Wii system. Thank you.

Hi Carrierkaren,
Just follow these simple step-by-step procedures and you will be on-line in no time.
1) Press the A Button on the Wii Remote and select the "Wii" tab on bottom left hand corner of your screen
2) Select "Wii Settings" then "Wii System Settings"
3) Scroll to page two using the arrow (which is on the right side of the screen) and select "Internet."
4) Select "Connection 1: None" ( If you dont see "None" in Connection 1, Click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings.")
5) Click on "Wireless Connection" then "Search for an Access Point."
6) Select "OK" and choose your Wireless network ( it will ask for a router password )
7) Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes." ( at this point, your Wii will do connection test. You can disregard the support code as long as you see "Connection Test successful".)
8) Select "Yes" and "I Accept" - that's all there is to it. You are already on-line.
Hoping to hear positive results. Enjoy surfing :)

I what to know how to put internet on my wii

From the wii home menu...

Go to Wii Options in the lower left.

Click on Wii Settings to the right.

From this first list, click the right arrow.

Now on page 2, click on Internet.

Then click Connection Settings.

From this list, click Connection 1.
Then, click Wireless Connection...

and then click Search for an Access Point.

It will briefly search for any access points and when this screen comes up, click OK.

The following will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to...

When the following screen appears, click OK...
and OK again.

It will test the connection...

And if successful, the following will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii.

Sometimes the above screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and the following will appear...

Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24.

From the following list click WiiConnect24.

Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time.

Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from the 2nd page of Wii System Settings.

Click Wii System Update...

click yes...

it will test your connection for a few seconds...

an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii actually needs one)

and the following screen will appear. Click Wii Menu to finish.

When I print photos, it doesn't show the date on the photo. Also , when I scroll down to Date/Stamp on the menu, it is always "off". And I can't change the setting. Help

You haven't said what make/model your camera is, so it is hard to advise.

Without knowing the camera, I am guessing that you may be in the wrong mode when trying to change this setting. You won't be able to change it while reviewing pictures already taken. You can only change it for pictures to be taken subsequently. Once pictures are taken, you won't be able to add the date stamp, nor remove it if it has been stamped.

It may be that it won't allow you to set this if you haven't already set the date and time in your camera. I can't see why this setting would be shown at all if it was not possible to turn it on (i.e. if your camera did not have this feature).
