Connect dvr to local network
boot up the dvr
connect to local network with a computer (eg Mac)
login into admin screen of your router to identify the assigned ip address of the router
start a terminal session
telnet to the ip address
default user name : root
default password : xc3511

Reboot your dvr box and it is at the first setup screen
Here are the commands - note you can't send password as part of the telnet command
add camera to the router that is allow it in the setup. the devices will need to be allow either by MAC address or device name. check your user manual for correct setup procedure. usually found on the CD that came with the router.

The QuickWave Setup must be set to ON from the Archive Setup → Quick Wave Setup menu (see section 3.15). The Archive Incident menu should appear. 1. Use the Jog to modify the time parameters and use the Shuttle to move between the Start and Stop fields. 2. Press the Record button on the front panel when satisfied. 3. The CD Writer will open the CD tray when completed. The video may now be viewed on any PC equipped with a CD-ROM.
Hi, Go to http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/latd630/en/AMT/MEBX.htm You have to disable Intel ME State Control , and you do not get any pop up masages any more. I hawe that problem with secundary HDD. Regardes.
