The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Short circuited component/s at it. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size...

SOURCE: my philips lcd 32wf337b27 won't turn on. Opened tv

You have short circuits, need to check the bridge rectifier, MOSFET that drives the AC to DC converter, etc. You will have to do component level repair at this point, better off getting new power supply module. I did not anything on the web yet using your model number (correct number?) you provided. Try EBAY and www.shopjimmy.com

After a power outage, the tv wont turn back on. was hoping there is a fuse that may have blown.

Hi Michael,
Yes there is a fuse in your TV too and sometimes you do escape with a blown fuse after a power outage. Please open if you can the back cover of your TV, locate the fuse. If you do not see any damaged or blown parts, replace the fuse with the same rating. If the works, enjoy watching. If the fuse blows again, the power board needs to be repaired or replaced.
Good luck.

Fuse box diagram

You can see if you have a blown fuse in seconds using my method! If something quits in your car and you suspect a blown fuse, you can find it by pulling out each fuse one by one. Don't mix them up, replace each one as you go, make sure to look at each one. You may even find you have more than one bown fuse! Don't worry about your intended location, checking them all this way will take less than a minute of time. If you have some needle-nose plyers, they work very well, most times you can use your fingers. My fuse blew in my Samsung 53" Plasma TV. I changed it, but it's blown again? What should I do next?

The fuse blown because theres a short circuit connection in the PCB power supply of your television. Please check the power supply inside, remove the back cover to see the power supply section.unplug first to avoid electric shock. Will you check the bridge type diode first. If the bridge type diode or diodes is shorted the fuse is always blown.Using digital tester check diodes, regulator transistor, and other transistor around the power supply.

Power off and not coming back. Changed power connection, checked switch, no power light. Where do I get a power supply for the tv and what does it cost. For initial cost of $900.00 I expected the tv to...

keep it unplugged for about 30 minutes to reset the tv. then try again. also you may have simply blown a fuse inside the tv. open up the back panel right where the plug connect there will be a fuse. if its blown just replace it. if its not blown and the 30 minutes dont work. its not worth finding a power supply (i looked and cannot find one anywhere) and if you do i have seen power supplies for other tvs upwards of a couple hundred you can easily buy a 37 in 1080p tv know for around 350

We had a power outage. TV and video both now dead. Changes fuses in plugs, still dead. Could the fuses in the appliances be blown ?

HELLO

Power outages can damage electronic items!

It is certain that the fuses in each of the units power supplies will be blown but I would recommend that you get both in for servicing as sometimes changing the fuses INSIDE and trying them again CAN cause more damage - and more cost to repair.

Better to be safe than sorry! (:-)

Mitsubishi TV WD-62527 will not turn on

Hi there, this is most commonly known as power board failure in the industry. the capacitors are blown. if you are experienced in inspecting circuit boards this will be helpful. you will have to disassemble and pull the power board and preform a break point test. the bown capacitors are easily picked out. they will be swollen and discolored. If you are not comfortable with disassembling this set, i suggest a service call. just tell the tech you are experiencing a power board failure.
