After Rescue n recovery with F11, i got error messeges & all data

HI
My Laptop LENOVO T61 June 2008 make.
The problem of blue screen immedietly solved when i booted my laptop with F8 . But the new problem arises. When I logged in, the system starts fine but when I run rescue n recovery option from thinkvantage button , the laptop restarts and then all errors shown. Like "c_1252.nls" file is missing or corrupted. This is the first messege I got while booting. Then I booted with F11 for rescue n recovery. I recovered file c_1252.nls from backup folder on harddrive. But when i restarted again the new c_0437.nls shown missing and this i got so many times after each n every rescue n recovery options. Then I again rescued all the files in system32 folder and restarted my laptop. Which restarts good uptill it asked for domain password . But when i clicked to enter the password the error messege shown " Diskeeper not present" and subsequently "SQL server is disturbed" like that . But the login successful and when the desktop arises the windows intstaller window shows but no further processing even i waited for 15 min. And above all I lost all my data saved in one n only drive that the LENEVO provided with OS. NO partiton. PL. suggest any solution this . Is it possible to recover my data since I didnt make any backup ?

My Lenovo T61 is not troubleshooting. It was infected by an virus, How can I restart the computer? Please help

Hi,

ThinkPad computers have what we call the service partition, which can set the computer back to its factory stated even without the recovery disc. The service partition can be accessed by pressing the Access ThinkPad or Access IBM button during start up.

Prior to performing a software recovery, Lenovo recommends returning your system to it's original factory configuration by removing all hardware that has been added to your system.
When the system first starts, the following message will be displayed on a blank screen:

To start the Product Recovery program, press F11

This message will stay on the screen for approximately 2 seconds, and it will be there every time the machine is started from a powered off state. If the F11 key is pressed while the message is displayed, then the system will enter the Service partition.

Select Full Recovery to get rid of the viruses. Wait for it to complete and your computer will be back to when it was fresh as new.

Thank you for visiting FixYa! a 4 thumbs up if this helped will be greatly appreciated.

Laptop is not getting booted

Hi, During the boot at the THINKPAD SCREEN press the Thinkvantage key ( Blue button ) it will launch rescue and recovery and allow you to reboot factory. This only works if you did not corrupted/deleted the rescue and recovery hidden partition on the HDD. Otherwise you will need the rescue and recovery CD to proceed. IBM/Lenovo support should be able to provide you the CD. Might be a defective hdd aswell, in this case to make sure you can run a DFT test, www.google.com -> Look up for " Test DFT " ( Drive fitness tool from hitachi, will make an hardware diag if hdd failure - error code 0x00 = everything fine, other code = Issue - You can look up for accurate code explanation on hitachi website ) thanks and have a nice day J-

I have Lenovo Notbook but OS has been distroy.now how can i install Win XP.Bootable Dos CD is Working but Setup is not working. Please can you help me ?

There should be a rescue and recovery part of your computer. To do this, turn on the computer and when the ThinkPad screen displays, press the blue rectangular ThinkVantage button in the upper left of your keyboard. This should bring you to the Rescue and Recovery applications which is stored on a hidden partition on your hard drive (and thus cannot be harmed by whatever destroyed the OS). From there, read the different options and you should find one that lets you restore your operating system that came with the computer.

If that doesn't work, go to Lenovo's web site and see if you can contact their support and ask for restoration CDs.
