I ordered the manual through http://www.mastersewusa.com but still do not have the download link. It has been almost a week now. The site said it would be in my e-mail in 3 hrs. Well today is day 5.

Download a free copy of your manual at www.brother-usa.com under customer support for home sewing and embroidery. It will tell you everything, their manuals are excellent. I downloaded mine and saved it, I love that I can enlarge the diagrams to see better for threading and everything. You should have an extra needle in your accessory bag, but I think that they are standard Schmetz 130/730 needles anyway. Look in your manual, Hope I brightened your day. Happy New Year to you.

Are you sure that you don't have it set for the buttonhole stitch? Look at your manual and try the different stitches and threading. Good luck
