No, resetting one Kindle does not affect the others only the one being reset. You should reset when you gift an old one or sell it.

Back up the old one first and you can restore the new one to have everything the old one did.

To reset your Kindle, press or tap the "Menu" button on the Home screen and select "Settings." The "Settings" screen appears. Press or tap the "Menu" again and select "Reset to Factory Defaults." YourKindle will start the resetting process and power off automatically.

I am trying to set my new Kindle. I forgot my amazon password.

You just need to go to and they have a password reset function available. Change the password for the Kindle account there.

I cannot delete self made videos from my kindle fire

I am sorry to hear about your problem. So, if I understand you correctly, you have a Kindle Fire and a video that you would like to delete but since the Kindle Fire is full, no space left, you can not authenticate to WiFi, correct?
The only solution that I can think of it to reset the Kindle Fire to Factory Defaults and before the Kindle fully syncs with the cloud delete the Video.
Step 1: Pull down the upper status bar, select More+
Step 2: Select My Account - Deregister the Kindle
Step 3: Wait the above step can take up to 30 minutes
Step 4: When done, pull the upper status bar, select More+ and then select Device
Step 5: Next select "Reset to Factory Defaults"

Amazon kindle suport web page

If I understand you correctly, you have a new Kindle Fire HD and would like to transfer the data from your old Kindle Fire to your new Kindle Fire HD. This is easy, follow these steps:
Step 1: Connect the old Kindle to Wireless. Pull down the upper status bar, select More + and then select My Account on the old Kindle
Step 2: Using the Old Kindle, select Deregister under My Account, let the task complete
Step 3: When the old Kindle has Deregistered, then pickup the new Kindle. If you accidentally registered this Kindle Deregister it and then Factory Reset the device.
Step 4: Now the old Kindle is Deregistered and the new Kindle is factory Fresh, let's begin the process.
Step 5: On the new Kindle, let's reboot after Factory Resetting the device. When the device powers back up you should be presented with a login Window. Go ahead and register the device to the same account as the Old Kindle. The sync process should begin automaticlly, it can take up to one full day to sync all your content.

My kindle starts fine but only wants to try to load one certain book even when clicking on a different book.

I would suggest reseting the kindle. This will delete your books but if you bought the books from amazon they will download again after the reset. Click menu and then click on settings. Hit menu again and then select reset to factory default. It will ask you if you are sure, say yes.
