CaRC not working on my vsx823

With some of these elaborate setups, the receiver overrides your settings and connections to configure a default arrangement for certain functions. The rationale for this is often buried obscurely in the equipment instructions. You may have to resort to trial and error, connect and disconnect to get a satisfactory result.

Amp shutting down when volume gets too high

Easy! You either have a surround speaker wired backwards or there is a break in the wire leading to a surround speaker that is allowing the +&- to arc together. your amp shutsvoff as a protection to keep the arc from reaching the mother board. replace your wires man!!

No Sound on TV/SAT setting on Receiver.

Most TV has Audio Out RCA jack at rear and it gives same TV Sound as coming from its speakers.
Hook audio wire red white RCA pins at TV Out and plug these pins to TV/SAT input of receiver. Select TV/SAT input in receiver to get TV program sound coming out from TV.
Hope that info will help you.
