I am cooking a roast beef dinner for Christmas I bought a 13lb chuck boneless and I need to know how long to cook in in a traditional oven.

5 After browning the roast at a 500°F temperature in the oven for 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F. To figure out the total cooking time, allow about 11-12 minutes per pound for rare and 13-15 minutes per pound for medium rare.

Really, you need a probe thermometer. Leave it to rest for 15 minutes after you take it out of the oven, loosely tented with foil. I am a chef!

I want to roast 2 boneless leg of lambs in same oven. One is 3lbs the other is 3 and a half . How long to cook them?


About 25 minutes to the pound for a pink center.

Example:
  1. Put both in for about 1 hr - 15 minutes (or so)
  2. Pull the small one.
  3. Cook the bigger one 15 minutes more (or so).

Need to know how to roast a whole chicken


Cooking meat is not a good idea especially chicken, few microwaves have a higher enough temperature to properly cook it, you are using a 700 watt microwave, the core temperature is simply not high enough to properly cook the meat. I strongly recommend the regular oven for proper cooking and safety, plus it will taste better.

My cooker has just stopped working, half way through cooking my roast dinner? any reason for this?


You may have blowen the fuse link on power board. Because of electric compents could cause bad shock. I suggest a tech to repair. If it is a fuse it should not be expencive. I hope this helps.

I havent used this microwave before. Can you please give me step by instructions on how to cook a roast beef and vegetables


If this microwave is a convection oven, you don't give make or model, treat as a fan assisted oven. 20 minutes per pound and 20 minutes extra for the meat, veg is best microwaved for a few minutes except potatoes, put them in the dish with the meat. Cover to stop splashing and set temperature to 190 Celcius 370 in proper temperature.
I am getting hungry now!

Search the internet for “roast chicken recipe for microwave”
Here is one just in case you don’t find one:
Microwave Roast Chicken
3 lbs. chicken
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. paprika

Instructions
Melt butter in a custard cup in microwave. Mix paprika into melted butter. Wash chicken (reserve giblets, these are best cooked conventionally). Sprinkle inside of chicken with salt. Cover ends of legs, tail, and wings with small pieces of saran wrap or wax paper. Place trivet on inverted saucer or small casserole lid in 12 x 7 inch baking dish. Place chicken breast side down on saucers. Brush with butter. Cover with waxed paper. Cook 12 minutes. Remove wax paper or saran warp from legs, tail, and wings. Turn chicken breast side up and brush with butter. Cover with wax paper and cook 12 minutes more or until meat thermometer registers 180 degrees (temperature will increase to 195 degrees during standing).

DO NOT USE MEAT THERMOMETER IN OVEN WHEN COOKING!! Remove chicken from oven; cover with aluminum foil and let stand 15 to 20 minutes before carving. Note: For other weights of chicken, allow 8 minutes cooking time per pound.
