SOURCE: We are roasting a pork
Hi,
No.... you set the insert into the roaster and then place the water in the pan with the pork shoulder...
Do not need a lot of water...just cover the bottom a half an inch or so....
Place an Aluminum foil "tent" over the meat and then place the cover over that...
350 for 2-3 hours... and YUM!!!!

It depends entirely as to the reason for buying a new cooker.
Was it safe? Was it broken? Did it no longer work? Were you just wanting a change?
You have not disclosed any of that information and therefore I am unable to offer an opinion. Sorry
SOURCE: I havent used this microwave
If this microwave is a convection oven, you don't give make or model, treat as a fan assisted oven. 20 minutes per pound and 20 minutes extra for the meat, veg is best microwaved for a few minutes except potatoes, put them in the dish with the meat. Cover to stop splashing and set temperature to 190 Celcius 370 in proper temperature.
I am getting hungry now!
Enjoy.
