after watching tv for about 5 mins after first turning it on, there will be a clicking noise and the tv will shut off. I am unable to turn it back on it seems, until it cools off. thought there might be a fan out causing it to over heat, but don't find one. pulled the back panel off and it sounds like the clicking noise is coming from the board on the left hand side towards the front. But while watching t/v the picture is good and everything. Need help please.
Try blowing a fan across the television where it will help to cool the inner components and see if that helps. If it does, then you definitely have a fan out in the TV and it will need serviced. If it doesn't help, something else is wrong with the TV and it may need serviced. Or you could try unplugging it for a while to reset some things on it, and then power it back on and try again.
Exactly what I said and he said he had alot of dust and stuff then after 2 hours he was playing games with me so this guy has to be a expert on here playing with other experts. Get this he is a tech asking another tech for blindfolded knowlege about a problem he knows as he is sitting in frount of the TV so obviouly he knows whats wroung and he is evaluating a tech based on his knowledge witch was pointless.

My RCA Scenium model number D52W135DYX1 purchase date 4/17/03 cuts off all four sides of the picture, and especially the top and bottom. I have Direct TV satellite and their technical support folks have convinced me that the problem is the TV and not the satellite service.
