Question about RCA D52W135D 52 in. TV/DVD Combo

2 Answers

After watching tv for about 5 mins after first turning it on, there will be a clicking noise and the tv will shut off. I am unable to turn it back on it seems, until it cools off. thought there might be a fan out causing it to over heat, but don't find one. pulled the back panel off and it sounds like the clicking noise is coming from the board on the left hand side towards the front. But while watching t/v the picture is good and everything. Need help please.

Try blowing a fan across the television where it will help to cool the inner components and see if that helps. If it does, then you definitely have a fan out in the TV and it will need serviced. If it doesn't help, something else is wrong with the TV and it may need serviced. Or you could try unplugging it for a while to reset some things on it, and then power it back on and try again.

I hope this helps :)

Exactly what I said and he said he had alot of dust and stuff then after 2 hours he was playing games with me so this guy has to be a expert on here playing with other experts. Get this he is a tech asking another tech for blindfolded knowlege about a problem he knows as he is sitting in frount of the TV so obviouly he knows whats wroung and he is evaluating a tech based on his knowledge witch was pointless.

Turn tv on watch it for 20 mins. screen shuts off but green power light is still on. turn it off manualy wait a few mins. turn back on watch for anouther 20 mins or so then screen shuts off again

The reasion your set is shutting off is because the power supply is dieding, and you need to replace the electrolytic caps on the power supply, or purchase a new one, go to www.partstore.com sand check to see if they have your power supply.

Had a power outage while watching tv. Then 3 blinking lights.

This is an on-going problem with DLP sets. Normally you shut the set off and the cooling fan cools the lamp down and then it shuts off. In your case, of which it's not your fault, however your lamp has taken a major hit by not properly cooling down, in turn, you need to replace your lamp at this time.
I suggest in the future if you have an electrical storm and a chance of a power outage while your watching tv, I would'nt play that model or any other model of a DLP set.
