Question about Televison & Video
I am following the step-by-step directions on page 39-40, in my manual. At step seven says to press the double bar when you come to the desired start of the DVD. I did that and a picture froze. Number eight says press D. Dubbing but nothing happens. The dvd picture is still frozen.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Problem dubbing VCR - DVD
I have 3 of these machines. I do not think it likes theRW disc's. Two of my machines are 4X & one is 8X. I have very great success with 4X DVD-R & 8X DVD-R disc's. I hear they have a fix for upgrading to 8X speed. Here is the link with the information:
You can still buy the 8X speed disc's on the internet. Hope you can get the machine to work, because I love the ones I have.

SOURCE: dubbing VHS to DVD
You have to go into the Home menu and select setup. At the bottom left there should be an icon that looks like a dvd disc. Select that and then go to finalize and select that to finalize the disc. After that is complete it should play on any dvd player. I had this problem and I got through to LG's customer service line and had them talk me through it. After I finalized the disc, it worked.

SOURCE: VHS to DVD dubbing
You need to try to copy just some homevideo videotapes not movies. All them are copyprotected. Recording stops then copyguard is detected. It should be noted in the manual for this unit at page 47.

SOURCE: VCR DVD Recorder not dubbing
I called the manufacturer and realized I was using the wrong type of recordable DVD disc to dub to. Non copy protected VHS tapes dub just fine as long as I'm using the proper disc.
