What are worm holes

A wormhole is a theoretical passage through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe. Wormholes are predicted by the theory of general relativity. But be wary: wormholes bring with them the dangers of sudden collapse, high radiation and dangerous contact with exotic matter.13 Apr 2015

Replace the roller bearing on mantisworm shaft

I posted this same procedure in a reply to this post:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t2127031-tine_shaft_removal_mantis_2_cycle_tiller

Follow the procedure for removing the worm gear shaft by removing the retaining ring at the bottom of the housing and extracting the worm shaft and other associated parts, Adding heat to the bottom of the housing to expand the hole will help the removal of the #458 roller bearing - with the housing in a vise, tap on the top of the worm shaft through the top hole of the housing with a punch or rod smaller than 1/2" in diameter. Then remove all grease from the housing - to eliminate the remaining roller bearing pieces that may reside in that grease. After total teardown and cleaning place the worm gear housing in a vise apply heat with a propane torch to the outside of the worm gear housing in the vicinity of the beaing location. Applying heat to this area will make the housing expand and make it easier to remove the remnants of the old bearing. With the housing still hot, take a punch or piece of 1/4" steel rod and insert it from the top hole, where the drive shaft goes in, there is a large ridge in the cast housing that the bearing mates against and immediately past that the bearing body will protrude just a little more into the cavity, with the rod against the bearing body gently and rapidly tap on the rod. You can look into the other side through the housing cover opening to be sure you are on the bearing and not the cast metal ridge. I just replaced that bearing this morning, be careful putting the new one in as well, they can be damaged very easily if you don't apply even pressure.

Not getting oil to blade tried the screw to adjust but still no oil getting throu !!

Your worm gear assembly is probably frozen in with sawdust and dirt. Take off the oil gear assembly. You will need to take off the clutch and the sprocket, the worm gear is directly underneath. Sometimes they are made out of plastic, sometimes of bronze. They use plastic for newer saws. If the gears do not turn easily, when you use your finger to turn them when they are off. then it is probably a good idea to buy a worm gear and then totally clean the assembly. Put in the new gear and it should work. Also check your chain bar check that the hole is clean. They also have a seal around the worm gear under the clutch assembly. It is good that you replace that too.

I need to get into the houseing part to oil are clean it does not follow the hose . It starts to then stops.

Here's how to open the motor assembly.
1) Use a 5/16 nut driver (or flat screwdriver) and remove 5 screws holding body to motor assembly.
2) Use pliers to hold the worm bearing assembly where the tee screws in. Hold worm bearing and remove tee.
3) Use a 3/8 inch allen wrench to remove the worm bearing assembly. The allen wrench is placed in the same hole where the tee was located. (Removing the worm bearing assembly allows you to separate the upper motor housing from the lower housing.)

Use care when removing the top and bottom halves as sometimes the small flat washers tends to fall off the shaft when you open sections.

When screwing worm bearing assembly into the lower motor housing, you are screwing brass into plastic. If over tightened, the housing will split. Rule of thumb: tighten until it feels snug then go a 1/4 of a turn.

No oil flow to lubricate chainsaw bar and chain. Could oil port be blocked? Chainsaw starts and runs fine. I see no decrease in oil level in the bar oil reservoir. I cleaned all openings on the bar and...

have you drained oil tank and checked oil pickup filter ?

have you checked oil tank breather ?

next check the drum and worm oil pump driver , they should have no damage to them , and engage the drum and worm should engage the pump shaft correctly with no slipping or binding , check the oil outlet hose is clear and make sure the pick up hose is clear with no holes / tears in its length but mostly sounds like the oil pump and worm need replacing ?

if you find a worm pump and worm gear replace them and make sure the oil pick hose seals off the oil tank to pump opening ( because if it sucks air with will not pump properly ) and oil will leak out under gravity while sitting

Check the carbon brushes, look inside the hole, it is keyed, the brushes only go in properly one way. Match the missing corner on the brush to the blocker inside the brush holder.

My topsy turvy tomatoes have somthing wrong with them one has a hole in it about 1/4 inch around and another has 4 small holes in the bottom of it, also this may be normal but the bottom of the plant...

Hi,
The "warts" are perfectly normal. The holes could be normal or it could be bugs or a worm. The bugs or the worm are often the very same green color as the leaves and are also undetectable. Check the undersizes of the leafs as that is often where they like to hide.
