SOURCE: If I strum harder on

If you don't want distortion, get rid of the overdrive pedal... Twangy USUALLY comes from the GUITAR and NOT the amp... test it on a different amp to decide... Buzzing CAN be caused by "fret buzz" which is due to IMPROPER guitar setup such as neck bend and string height.
Start using ONLY clean channel on the amp and NO reverb. If you verify that the guitar sounds bad on a different amp, take it in to have it setup properly.

Why is there a faint crackle from the amp when I strum?

Assuming that the problem goes away when you plug a differebt guitart into your amp, you have a loose ground somewhere in the guitar.

Peavey special 112 solo amp cuts out.

Unfortunatly, there could be a few different causes for this and without the amp in frony of me it would be impossible to diagnose it. The best bet would be to have a qualified repairman look at it. Here is a link to the Peavey Contact page which has a link to their service centers.

I want to build an amp that will deliver a bass drum sound for the stomp box I built.

As a 40 year guitarist and repair technician I had to laugh at this until I thought about my younger days of starting out. What I see here is that you made a momentary trigger out of a stomp box that apparently had problems, that you think you can build an electronic bass drum to play it with. Is this correct? See, the amp only gives a bass drum sound ONLY if a bass drum sound goes through it. Amps only provide audio power to the input signal. Where to get you bass drum sound is what you need to find. I believe you are thinking of a sample. A sample is an actual recorded sound of a bass drum that you could actually trigger by stepping on that button. You could find this on most cheaper casio, yamaha, emerson, radioshack, keyboards or drumpads or any of those amateur toys. Most of them allow a trigger pedal to be plugged into it and operational. Now, after you find something with a bass drum sample that you can trigger with your pedal, that device should allow you to plug it into an amp to amplify it. I hope I didn't confuse you much and had a close perspective of what you tried to describe. Please let me know if I can help further.

My boss me 25 pedal's sound isn't as clear and good as the demos' sound. My amp is a randall RT100 which is a valve amp and my guitar is an LTD with the custom pickups. so the problem is the setting i'm...

I have the Boss ME 50. Here's things to try. Use wall outlet to power the 25 instead of batteries. Have volume on amp up, volume on pedal all the way up, volume pedal all the way up(depressed), no gain on amp(use clean channel or clean setting if only 1 channel)effects on amp off(reverb, chorus, delay, boost, etc.) mid range knob below 5. only 1 pickup on, guitar tone knob all the way towards treble. If this puts you in the ballpark you can then make slight tweaks to any of these settings. What we're trying to do is not run a dirty sound from the pedal board into an amp with dirty settings. That double dirt often causes a muddy sound. Aside from that you can back off on various effects in the patches. My 50 has a list of the patches and factory settings, so if the drive, for example is set on 8, I might back it off to 4, or the compressor, or the delay, etc. If you like the sound save it. If not continue on. Start with the amp 1st. Higher output tubes(such as JJ's produce a cleaner sound. Also the demo you heard was not coming from your guitar speaker which may not be on the clean side.

I can turn it on and i hear the fan going...but it doesnt make any sound when i strum or anything...please help!

There are some basic things you can try before you suspect the amp. Does your guitar cord work in another amp? Is your guitar sending sound through your guitar cord? Without any thing plugged into your amp can you hear a slight hiss when you turn your controls up on your amp? Here is a link to some things you can do to troubleshoot the problem:http://www.geofex.com/ampdbug/ampdebug.htm Even though the info is for tube amps a lot of it also applies to solid state (transistor) amps like yours. If it turns out to be the amp and you don't feel comfortable working on it and have no one that you know personally to do it you are best served by taking it to a certified Marshall repairman who will have the tools, parts and schematics to help you.

I am getting a fuzzy sound from the vocalist 4 on my guitar, almost like if you strum the strings and forgot you "stored" your pick between the strings. Can you help? Thanks

This MIGHT be typical digitizing noise that can occur with a digital effects processor when the signal level is too LOW. The signal gets down in the noise because it only uses a few bits of data which means LOW resolution in the effects processing.

Make sure your guitar is producing the level required by the vocalist.

Weak battery in amped guitar is common...REMEMBER always send the signal between devices at least at half the max volume to keep a decent signal-to-noise ratio.

ALWAYS use instrument grade cables between the devices and speaker cables for speakers... NEVER use the incorrect ones for either of these functions. They should be labelled.

The BOSS FDR-1 produces a popping sound when played

This is a common problem with this pedal experienced by allot of people. My best advice would be to sell it and put the money toward a real Fender tube amp and some good pickups. If you're trying to go cheap check out some Line 6 modeling stuff.
