Hi..
Remove bottom panel. ( 2 or 3 screws on bottom.) Remove what looks like a big white screw, this is probably clogged up. When you do this, lean the machine back about 45 degrees and have bucket ready when removing the pump clean out...This should help

if the pump is above water level there is no need for valves. If the pump is below water level, partially drain pool until water level is below pump, then install unions and shut off valves when you remove the pump.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time. It is possible that there is less water and more time for the pump to empty on delicates.

Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Whrilpool modle #lsq9544kq0 washer works in

Humming could mean a stalled motor. These machines also have a coupling between motor and gearbox which can fail. However, the pump is attached to the motor, so if it's not pumping it probably means the motor isn't spinning. Check motor and/or gearbox.....Nomess

Sometimes does not spin enough to wring out water from clothes.

The spin cycle should be on a timer, and shouldn't be able to change how long it spins. The same timer that controls all the cycles of your washer.Your pump may be trying to go out,and isn't removing the water fast enough. This will keep water in the tub,and the normal spin cycle isn't long enough to let the pump get the job done.Another problem might be a clog in your drain hose.Another problem could be the drain hose is set to high above the pump, and the pump can't push it up that high (shouldn't be a problem if you are using the hose that came with the washer, and not extending it with another hose or something.)
