Only if you can get to the motor and take off the cover and get a spanner or socket and rotate it till the bed lowers if possible but it can be dangerous

My bed does not go up or down for feet or head. It worked one day and not the next please help me. Its a craftmatic1 that has the control attached to the bed i beleave it was made in 2005

If you have checked to make sure the bed is plugged in and the outlet works, recommend contacting Craftmatic. Here is a link to download the manual. http://www.craftmaticparts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=10
Troubleshooting steps are included along with the contact information.

The bed is stuck with head up can I manually lower the bed

We have a Tempur-pedic. Each side is controlled by its own remote. It also has battery backup for each side (head and foot) in case the power goes out. We simply push a little button on the battery controlled box on whichever side needs lowered. It works to lower them, but they cannot be raised in a power outage. If you don't have something like that, or a manual crank or something, I suggest you call the company and ask THEM what to do. If it's stuck with the power still on, then even more reason to call the company.

Why not refer this problem to Craftmatic directly?

Ultramatic bed problem - bed will not raise either head or feet - does not move at all. Received replacement remote from company but no different. Lights on remote do not stay on - only when press a button...

Had same problem with my husbands moms bed. Found out that it ended up being a stripped plastic piece that the screw uses to raise and lower the bed. Because its stripped the screws don't have anything to grip on again to raise or lower bed. Piece needs replacing, but not sure where to get them.

My Craftmatic Adjustable bed does not stay upward after adjusting it (head or foot). It just slowly sinks back down.

Hi. Most likely a faulty switch in the hand piece. I had a hoist in for repair the other day doing a similar thing. The down switch was being pressed by the covering on the handpiece. You might be able to find someone in a local electronics store to look at it or buy a new hand piece. Try raising the bed and then unplugging the hand piece and see if the bed stays up. Good luck. Neil.
