Allways beware on danger because it has an electronic modul/assembly/unit like Crawford a Brand that much people know what cost much yearly for failures there are some inproper types on that brand, but always be aware there is a special safety restriction on insurances by handling . if
Avoid unprofessional people doing requests repair, but Only When its a failure on the electronic assembly { stay away from } , but if there are problems only on the end switches what sometimes timing controlled functional that the door is closed there are 2 break/make switches That must be have a dc to can do a measure on on it both switches are on the end and end / beginning on the door is the only point to control and can cleaned with contact spray if there are little microswitches or proper switches are used hopefull, otherwise if both are functional there is a problem in the modul if something goes wrong after or by an improper repair the wormgear and motor are taken out ( its a little suggestion) contingency that if an overhead door is stand open was suddenly have get a free movement and it can have serious consequences if the motor mechanic is removed on that point in accidents involving garage roller doors where you do not be happy.

SOURCE: remotes quit working for garage door

I had the same problem with my Craftsman opener but different model. However to fix this I simply followed the instructions that came with the opener and reprogramed the remote to the opener. The instructions are in your owners manual and are pretty straight forward.. John

SOURCE: Remote will not operate garage door opener from outside garage

Will the remotes work in the garage? If yes but not outside with the door closed you might have radio interferace with your remotes. You might have to chage to a your reciever and remotes to a different brand (frequency). Sometimes it is less trouble to change out the operator. Chamerlain changed frequency from 390 (old) to 315 (new).

SOURCE: programing garage door opener remote

ok crystal, calm down this is an easy one! first locate the smart button on your openers , next you will press and hold down the smart button until you see an indicator light above it shut off, while your holding that button the light will be solid ,Now your ready to program your remotes ,first programm one side by taking each of your four remotes and pressing the smart button on machine then pressing the button on the remote you want to program,by doing that you will notice the lightbulbs on your machine shut off and go back on , This is an indicator that your machine has accepted the code , now do it with the other three remotes , after you,ve programmed all four ,go over to the other machine and repeat the process but this time you have to choose another button on your remotes since you,ve programmed all four remotes to the same button on each remote ,just choose the bottom button on your remotes this time to keep them seperated , hope this helps you and it is as easy as 1-2-3 your owners manual will describe exactly the same ,i know because i,ve installed over 27,000 machines working as an installer for sears, please leave a nice feedback rating if i was able to help you, good luck,Sincerely Glenn Mayer

SOURCE: Liftmaster wireless keypad closes but won't open the door

If you are sure the battery is good you have a bad keypad. The signal strength is so weak it will not penetrate the door.

My dts 600 garage door opens with the remote but won't close what's the problem?

1. Your battery may be nearly dead. It has enough energy to trigger the "open" cycle but not enough to do "close."
2. Try repositioning the antenna on the opener's receiver (usually a single, insulated wire that hangs down from the unit).

The sensor lights are steady. The opener cycles fine withouit the garage door connected. Everything worked fine until yesterday. I hit the open remote and the garage door did not open. I hit close and it...

Remove the cover from the motor unit and check the drive gear. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. Also check the door springs. One of them could be broken.

Older model 1/3 hp craftsman goes up not down with remote

Your door sensors are either bad or need simply to be aligned. They must be pointed at one another to work properly. Each of them has a small light that will be lit when they are pointed correctly.

Chamberlain Liftmaster 1246R won't open/close

if youcan hear the motor turning when you hit the remote or wall button the plastic gear in the oprator has been ripped and if you take the cover off you will see all of the whote plastic dust that has come from the gear being shreded. You can replace this gear. you do not have to buy a new operator. it is very easy to replace this gear. I can't tell you were to buy one because I buy all my stuff from a dealer.

Garage Master 1/3 HP 1997 Door Working, not responding to Remote

I have the exact same situation, except my model (139.53607) is older than yours and does not even have an LED. Remotes only works after after shop light goes off (5 minutes or so), but wall button works fine. Did call Sears Service and the tech told me the logic board is probably shot. Don't want to waste money on service call so I'll probably have to buy a completely new unit in the Spring and go through the winter without the use of a remote.

Garage door opener motor will not open garage door

It sounds like you did a really good job! My Craftsman 1/2 hp gar. dr. opener has a red reset button on it on the l/h side as you are looking at the light/motor from the garage door opening. You have to take the light cover off to be able to see it. My reset button is on the same side as the ground wire. You might check the ground wire while you're there. I really hope that this fixes it for you (and me). I'm quite sure it will as you know your way around the garage door opener already. Good Luck and Let me Know (Please) if it fixed it or not. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Have a Good Day!
