To restore your Compaq Presario PC f700:
Turn the computer on, then while restarting, Press and hold the F11 key.
Under HP Recovery Manager, select the option to perform a system recovery.
***Note*** Doing this will delete everything that are save in your computer. Back up your files before doing this.
Do you have the restore disks? If you put the restore disk in your disk drive you should be able to follow the steps to reset to factory settings. When I did this to my computer, I chose the box that said "Restore computer to out of the box state"
BEFORE you do this, you should back up any text and image files that you want to keep. After resetting, your files will be lost and you will have to reinstall any programs or files that did not originally come on your computer.
If u Create a restoring poit & use a original copy operating System then u restore it nahi to operating system repair kar le.
if u want to restore ur BIOS then open ur Bios from F2 & Load its default settings by its given instruction.............
Probably a bad driver or a bad file etc, try this.
Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.
Did the computer retain your sign in settings (aka name you have for your account)?
If it did not, on boot up, a key may have been pressed that caused the compaq auto restore to begin. Compaqs are unique that they have the restore software on a partition of the main hard drive for a factory restore.
If your system is new, press f10 to restore it to factory settings, this systems come with a restore partition to reprogram computer to a out of the box stage, remember to do a good back up before attempting this.
See if you can get into safe mode. If you can't then your system files are corrupted and you'll have to restore your computer back to factory defaults.
I believe on your compaq presario they have a built in factory restore and its either accessed by the F10 or F11 key when you first turn on the computer. You'll know when you first turn on the computer at the compaq logo screen.
Windows auomatically makes system restore files. These files allow you to restore your system to a previous date should there be a problem with your computer as a result on an installation of a "faulty" program. You can also create a Restore Point (date) if you wish, prior to installing a program.
To create a Restore Point or restore your computer to a particular date, click on Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore, and follow the prompts.
