An update might not solve the problem. It could be that you have a dual-core processor. Some of the older games will only run with a single processor active. Here is how to disable the second processor core:
Open the start menu, click on Run,type in msconfig and click on OK
In the System Configuration window click on the start sub menu and the on Advanced Options button.
In the second window that appear, you should be provide with an option for enabling and disabling the number of processors you want to use. You need to select "1" for the NUMPROC box.
Validate your entry by clicking on OK.
Restart your PC and it should be fine.
When you are through playing Primal Prey you can follow the same procedure but select "normal startup" and restart your computer.
Hope this solves the problem.

SOURCE: my friends list wont load
Try updating the Flash Player. The games use it extensively and I have seen different functions stop working after they upgrade Flash.
Go to www.adobe.com and look for the button to download Flash Player. Then just follow the prompts. There is on check box to install another app or toolbar. I normally un-check it.
Let me know hif this solves it.

You need to adjust your pop up blocker to allow pop ups for Facebook. Typically IE8 gives you a message at the top of the screen when a pop up is blocked with the option to allow pop ups from this site either for this one session or forever. if you do not see this you can adjust your settings by clicking "Tools->Pop up blocker->Pop up blocker settings."
You may also need to adjust the security settings for Facebook from "Tools->Internet Options->Privacy." Make sure you adjust privacy settings for facebook only!!

First, update your adobe flash software:
If that doesn't fix the problem then you probably have a virus or malware. Facebook is one of the top sites for hackers to distribute their malware and viruses and it's possible you got an infestation.
Try malwarebytes anti-malware it's FREE and it's here:
Make sure to select the non-pro version.
Install and use TDSSKiller also (Also FREE):
You can try Superantispyware as well (Also FREE):
If you don't have a good anti-virus program already you can use Avira. It's FREE as well, just make sure to configure it to "Select All" Threat categories. Here it is:
