Littleone.. please check your instructions.. some washers now dont need Hot water connection to them...they heat their own as part of the efficiency settings on the wash programmes themselves!

SOURCE: replaced washer fill valve (selenoid)

Possibly your problem is the tube that tells the machine when the water is full. It may be blocked.

How do i test the aqua stop is working as i am not getting water in to the washer

You either have a Block of the HOT WATER LINE (where the hose screws into the Washer in the back of the Washer, Bad selector Switch or Circuit Board. Change the Selector to COLD and does it fill up? If it does, then change to HOT. If the water complete shuts off, then you need to disconnect the HOT LINE and then check the Filter and check the Water Flow of the hose. Hope this helps....

What does code f 20 mean

usually it's the water valve needs to be replaced, best thing is to remove the bottom panel, look for the diagnostics paper and put it back for future repairs, either taped to the bottom inside panel or look around inside cabinet usually on right hand side taped to right wall,it will tell you what the code is and look up how to put into diagnostics,if hot and cold water are coming in to slow or no water on hot or cold shut it down, unplug it,shut the water valve off going to washer, remove the water lines going to washer and mark them so hot goes back to hot and cold back to cold on the washer water valve.when you have the hoses off turn the house valve back on to make sure water is coming through both lines, the problem could be the house valve so you want to eliminate that.if good look into the washer valve,if you see alot of sedement in the screens change out the washer water valve,if all looks good on some machines there is a flow meter that could cause this code to come up,if water is coming in strong and screens look clean on water valve i would change the flow meter.go here and see your parts
one is valve 4 is flow meter hope this helps

Kenmore eco cycle front load washer. error E70 displays and stops washer. What does E70 mean?

You should check the model number of the washer. If the model number starts 417, then the washer was made by Frigidaire. In that case, the E70 error indicates that cold water is not being detected at the washer inlet sensor.

In some cases, this could be due to connecting the hot water line to the cold water inlet (and the cold water to the hot water inlet). Make sure that the cold water shut-off valve is open. Try swapping the water hoses (close the shut-off valves first). Try new hoses; some anti-flood hoses will restrict the water flow if they detect damage. Thus you won't have sufficient water coming into the washer. (You can check this yourself. Turn off the shut-off valves. Disconnect the hoses from the washer and put the ends into a bucket. Then open the shut-off valves and check the water flow.) While you have the hoses off, check for debris in the inlet filters.

If the hoses are fine, you probably have a problem with the washer's inlet valve or the reed switch that measures incoming water. The inlet valve should be replaced if you find that only hot water enters the washer.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of your washer for more information. It will be on the inside of the door opening (probably at the top).

Washing machine issue

First check that the shut-off valves for the washer inlet hoses are open. Next check for debris in the inlet hose filters (both the washer filters and the hose to water line connections). You will need to take off the hoses and you may need a small pair of pliers to get the filters out to rinse them. Have a bucket below the hoses to collect any water in them. While you have the hoses off, open the shut-off valves and check that you have full flow. If you don't have water flow, check for additional shut-offs or a place where the pipes could be clogged/damaged. If you have water at your faucets, you have fewer places to check.

Put new washer hoses on your washer after you clean the washer inlet filters. There are some washer hoses that are designed with flood prevention in mind. When the hose starts to fail, they actually will seal against any water flow. (We had this happen with a hot water hose before the cold one; it wasn't obvious at first.)
If these steps don't solve the problem, then you probably have an inlet valve that isn't opening. The valve may need to be replaced. However, you should also check the electrical wiring to make sure that the signal to open is being sent to the valve. Sometimes, the control board (clock) fails and gives this problem. If a new valve doesn't work and the wiring is good, you need to replace the control board.
Please add a comment with the make and model of your washer for specific details about the parts. I hope this helps.

SM 8525492A whirlpool washer rinse cycle no water comes out, just hums

when the washer goes into rinse cycle it only uses cold water so clothes don't rinkle,so most likey you have a problem with your cold water,do this, shut down the water to the washer, remove the water lines from the back of washer and mark them so you know how they came off, stick the hoses into the washer if they reach or a bucket, turn on the cold water to see if water is coming out of hose,if water does come out of hose good then stick the cold water hose back on the washer and run it only on cold,if it doesn't fill then you know you have a problem with the water valve on the washer and it's not the house water valve that's bad,and usually if you have a problem with the washer water valve it will just hum and no water will enter the washer so if you hear a humming sound it will be the water valve.tried looking up the model number you sent but it doesn't come up on the parts lookup

I have a frigidare washer and after a few minutes the cold water stops coming in too the washer but the hot water still works we have undid the cold water hose it is a constant stream it does not stop...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

(check all of these things but for 'cold' only!)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Very little hot water runs in tub

you either have a problem with the house water supply going to the washer and you can remove the hot water hose from the washer, first shut down the water, stick the end of the hose inside the washer and turn the water supply back on,if the water comes out normal then you have a bad water valve on the back of the your parts store and give them the full model number off of the washer, open the lid, follow it down to the bottom and right under the bottom of the lid you'll see the model number

I have a Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 series washer older model. It will not alow cold water to fill washer. Tried warm and hot water only fills the tank. Hot water will fill fine with no problem.

shut the house water valve off, take off the cold water line on the back of the washer and stick it in the tub of the washer, have someone hold the hose and turn on the cold water valve,if water comes out then you need to change out the water valve on the washer,if no water comes out then you have a problem with the house water valve.there are screens in the valves see if you canpop out the screen and clean it out and put it back into the valve, you can try that but sediment could have went through the screen and damaged the valve,if so change it time send the model number and i can give you part numbers, let me know what you find

The machine showed error code E 20. It just shut off and made a beeping noise during a load we were washing. The lights work but the machine just buzzes when turned on.

Mine was too doing the same thing every now and then it would work depending if i changed the cycles around. I finnally pulled it out to where i could work on it. pulled off the back plate bottom was still partly full of water so tiped it on its side. undid the black hose going from the bottom of the drum. Undid the screw that tightens the clamp this is the fatter part of the black hose , inside this hose is a tube u can slip out it was right full, im gussing it was the filter. Put it back together and works fine now.

Washer will run with hot water only ( amana heavey duty washer)

What if you swap the hot and cold lines on the back of the washer? Does the problem remain the same? Only you get cold water OK but not hot? The test I suggested is to verify if the inlet valve for both hot abd cold are operating and by switching the hoses, the problem should switch with them if the inlet valve is not opening when it is supposed to, Please provide details on the make and model of your washer so I can look at the control circuitry to determine how the inlet valves are operated.
