I have problems getting the generator to work since we installed the Xantrex RS3000. it takes forever now for the microwave to kick in etc.
Not to mention I've popped 5 fuses on the inverter at a hefty price to replace which my installer has informed me is not under warranty? Grrr.
The fuses seem to pop only when we use the microwave. That sucks when I have to fire up the generator just to pop something in the microwave for 2 minutes. And now the generator has to run sometimes for 5 minutes or longer before the microwave kicks in.
My RV is a 2006 Pace Arrow in mint condition. This kind of sucks.
First make sure your your installation phasing is correct. You can easily do this by first checking the power at the micro wave socket as explained below with the gen. or land power and then see if you get the same reading to ground connection to connection with the inverter on if it is different swap your input AC from your inverter to your power grid
If that is OK
Check to make sure your microwave socket and or/ the device plug are phased properly to ground. The white wire should have 0 ohm continuity to the device ground. The wall socket should have 110vac between ground and the black(small hot side) wire and 0 vac to the common (big white) side.

We have a Heart Interface (Freedom 25) inverter which we keep for our little house in Spain. However, last week it blew up after someone put too much power to it. Weve brought it back to uk. Do you know anyone in UK who could mend it. Many thanks. mini

Went to different RV repair place and they changed the wiring between the inverter and my 4, 6 volt batteries to the largest size there is. The distance between them is a bit over six feet. They also added two more ground points. They told me that all inverters should have at least two heavey ground points and that using the largest size wire is always better. It fixed my problems!!

i want to replace my xantrex freedom 30 with a ms3000. I presently have a link 2000 installed and understand that the controller for the ms3000 does not require a shunt -- that it uses a cat5 cable for control can i replace the freedom and still use the link -- will it control the ms3000
