Question about Samsung Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a new 4h SUHD TV and ATT Uverse which is only broadcast at 1080i. What service do I go with to get 4k channels? My tv is 4k+ but not getting any of the benefit using Uverse

TV is Samsung SUHD 8000 Series TV which is one step down for their most top of the line. I feel I overspent for a TV that cant get a signal to how off its quality. I must not be the only person with this issue

4k will be picked up automatically when it is present, there is little 4K broadcast material available as of this date.

How do I change the resolution on my Phillips 4k tv from 720 to a higher resolution tools

The TV will select the correct/appropriate resolution based on the source. To achieve the highest resolution you will have to connect a unit (video source) capable of providing 4K using HDMI 2.0 compliant cables. To achieve any HD resolution, the video source will have to be connected to a HDMI port. The ATSC terrestrial digital broadcast signal (over the air TV) is generally 720p, but many stations transmit in 1080i/1080p.

Use the component connection not the HDMI. Some of the ATT boxes have issues with the HDMI ports. Uverse is only broadcast in 1080i not p so you will not lose any video quality.

Not able to program vizio remote towork with att uverse Cisco box

Hi,
Maybe too late for you but ATT just gave me a code that works with my Vizio plasma. Code is 1343. Even the mute works correctly. They gave me some others to try but I didn't need them. Other codes were 1018, 0030 and 0056.

Programing Remote

1343 or 1005 are the codes - press the TV mode button and the OK button together - the release at the same time - the top row of mode buttons needs to blink twice - then enter the code - the TV button should blink 2 times - try the power and volume buttons - if it worked then be sure to press the ATT mode button again after so you can change the channels

The problem is with the ATT UVERSE HDTV BOX and not the Samsung DLP TV. There is an inherent problem with the ATT UVERSE HDTV Box when using a HDMI cable. This was verified by the ATT UVERSE Technician.

Thanks,
