Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

TV not turning on blinking powerlight with corresponding clicking

Zenith2.gif "Presentation" is just the name of the general model.

Is it a Z37LC6D LCD TV?

Please reply with the model number and the MFG DATE so I can assist you better.

===

Check the rear for the exact model and the MFG DATE on the FCC label.

Check for loose power cable to the TV.

Make sure the socket the TV plug into is not overloaded.

An overload is dangerous and the voltage drop will cause the TV power supply from turning on.

If possible plug the TV into a different //// empty outlet.

A clicking sound is a signal of a failing power supply or low line voltage from the wall socket.

Please update you post on the reply window.

The sound is coming from a failed flyback auto transformer. You will need to replace that.

LG 47" LCD TV - 47LC7DF Clicking Noise

I was told that these clicking noises (which happen on my Magnavox LCD too) were due to the "power required" at the internal switch. Seems that the power required to immediately turn on the TV is too much for a standalone household outlet, so it "surges" power in a series to get enough there. Hence, the clicking sounds are actually mini power surges to send more power to the internal circuits to turn the TV on.

If your set is like mine, these noises generally stop after a minute or two, correct?
