Question about Kenwood KDC-MP438U Car CD/ MP3 Player
Here's a link to the manual.
First make sure that the green green/black and purple purple/black pairs of wires are properly connected to operate the rear speakers.
You can check and adjust the "fader" and "rear volume" settings from the front panel. Go into settings by pressing the CONTROL knob. Then press CONTROL repeatedly until you get to the setting you want to check or adjust. When the display reads "R-VOLUME", turn the CONTROL knob from 0-35. Press CONTROL repeatedly again until the display reads "FADER" and turn the CONTROL knob from Rear 15 - Front 15 until you get the setting you want. Exit audio control by pressing any button.
Hope this helps.
