There are several things could be wrong. The freon could be low for one thing. You should get expert advice to look at it and before you get repairs get a firm price for repairs. Sometimes it costs more to repair than buy a new one. If its an older one may cost too much to fix.

My used Kenmore fridge does not get cold, the compressor is humming but both freezer & fridge do not get cold at all

If compressor is running and hot, and everything in both fridge and freezer is room temperature, then you most likely have a blockage or leak in sealed system.

I bought a hisense fridge a month ago, it was Ok when we connected just for couple of days, I turned the temperature up a bit so the freezer can be colder, but now

Hisense is a company that makes cheap budget end televisions. Sounds like the defrost timer may have failed. The cold is created at the rear of the freezer and cold air is vented to the fridge. Have it looked at under warranty.

Why is E522B fridge not cold but freezer working fine?

Hi , First thing you need to check is that the fan is working in the freezer to push the cold air into the fridge. If you have a magnet put it up against the sensor on the door sill so as you can leave the door open.

My frig is not cold enough

Maybe the room you store it in is to hot as the fridge will only cool a certain amount of degree's below the ambient temperature, if it has a freezer compartment make sure it is regulary deforsted as the fridge temperature is linked to the freezer temperature.

Only one temperature control??

Good day,
Yes, they are made. The temperature in the fresh compartment will be no issue, since you have control in that compartment.
The engineers designed the balance between the two compartments so the freezer would be normal if the following conditions applied.
1. The room temperature is between 70 and 90 degrees.
2. The machine has normal usage. I.E. 8 to 20 door openings of the fresh food door.
The freezer would start getting warmer if the room temperature dropped much below 70 degrees. or..
If the machine had extremely light usage with very few
door openings, or a combination of both situations described above.

With dual controls, and both set at normal, the above conditions would occur anyway, except you could over ride the normal settings to compensate.

Many people have this setup, and experience little trouble, but without knowing your life style replacing it would be your choice based on the facts given.

Thanks for using FixYa

Wire that connects thermostat to air diffuser assembly severed

Yes, the air diffuser has to open to allow the cold air from the freezer to be blown into the fridge.

When we open the freezer door, a lot of steam/smoke comes out. A lesser amount comes out when the fridge door is opened.

If the fridge is working and keeping things cold and frozen, you don't have a refridgerant leak that is producing vapor that might appear as steam or smoke.

The steam/smoke is actually water vapor being made visable due to the temperature difference between the freezer/fridge temperatures and the air temp in the room (or garage) the appliance is in.

It's nothing to worry about and is normally more likely to happen when the outside or house air temp is very warm (Summer months) and when the air is humid.

What's happening is the very cold and cool air is hitting and mixing with the much warmer and much more dense air (humid air contains microscopic water particles) when you open the doors, and is instantly being cooled. Thus it appears as thou the fridge is steaming or smoking.

Have a great day an hope this explains the situation. Best regards.

I have a rm2611 refrigerator which has lights, no fan

There's a capacitor by or on the compressor that probalbly needs replacing. This is the cheapest route .

Freezer and Refrigirator not cooling

You didn't say if the compressor is running or not. If it is and all other things you stated are running then it has a sealed system problem. The sealed system comes with a 5 yr warranty in most cases (check owners manual). If the compressor is not running then listen for a click at the compressor. If you hear the click then I would replace the relay on the compressor. If you need further help I will need the complete model # off the sticker inside the fridge section.
