SOURCE: dirt devil easy steamer need directions to use

Thank you for responding to my question. I should have spent some time really looking at my little machine. It wasn't hard to figure out -once I found and read the back of the cleaning solution bottle and tried my luck following the water to cleaner ratio.. Opening, adding the cleaning solution and water and re-closing the reservoir was pretty easy. Everything worked out fine...and my carpet is...spotless. Thank you, Cmarie

SOURCE: Dynamite Dirt Devil Hose

I figured out how last night.
Take a screw driver and unscrew the screw on the top of hose and take the hose out and take a pen or something long enough with grip to get all of the junk out.

The circulation still isn't as strong though.

If the filters have been washed and installed back in instantly there wont be any suction. Check the top filters have been cleaned thoroughly and also check inspection tubes/hose and dust channels to check for a clog. Also check the sole plate / bottom of where the beater bar as there may be a clog somewhere.

Look for a clog of pet debris right at the intake to the container. It may not be visible unless the container is removed.

My Dirt Devil Reaction vacuum cleaner has a plugged hose.

Hi! A broom stick or something similar is probably the best tool you can use to remove a clog. Try pushing the broomstick in an up and down motion gently against the clog until it starts to loosen and slide out. If you are unable to remove the clog the hose can be replaced. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement hose if needed. Good luck!

Hi there! Sounds like that noise may have been your belt popping or breaking. Try checking the belt on the vacuum. If it has broken, replace with a Dirt Devil style 15 belt. Below is a link where you may go to purchase the belt if needed. Thanks!

Hi, it's Cindy from Crucial Vacuum.

From your description, it sounds like there may be something stuck in your roller or your filter may need cleaning or replacement. Refer to page 22 of your manual to remove your roller.

For optimal performance, your filter should be replaced every 3-6 months and washed every 1 month. Your filter is located under the dirt cup holder.

You can purchase direct your replacement filter from Crucial Vacuum with free shipping and an exclusive 10% coupon for Fixya.com readers, use code: FIXYA10

check and make sure that the pickup tube from the bottom of the sweeper to the waste cup does not have a clog anywhere you can use a metal coat hanger and straighten it out and carefully run that thru.

The fan motor is probably not working. Does it sound normal? Higher or lower pitch sound?

The filters are not clean on both sides. Check the main filter at the top and the internal filters for each side, clear and brush cleanly and gently to remove all clogged dirt as well as checking the hose and inspection airways i.e. when the bin is taken off check the holes behind it and behind the beater bar for any clogging material.

As it turns out I didn't clean the hose as well as I thought, The second time I fully removed the hose and found that where it bent was where my problem was. Along with a pen I found about three inches of dirt clogged in the hose. After removing the pen and dirt along with a new filter the vac works like new.
