Check your account to see if he actually refunded it, and if it shows a refund and he did it in error, just send it again...it happens. People click the wrong thing sometimes.

Hi,

It takes 5-10 working days for them to process it. The amount shows refunded because Paypal refunded the amount to the bank but that doesn't mean that the amount is updated on your Debit Card.

The ball is in Bank's court. What i have seen it would be updated within 2-3 working days but some banks would take more time to update the amount.

Note - I am taking into consideration that you have entered all the correct details in the Paypal account.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I payed for an item on ebay payment paypal. The item was cancelled by ebay who informed me seller had put back money into my account from where I payed.

Which account?
Did you have a "positive" balance in your PayPal account?
If so, PayPal will refund your payment back to that account.

If you did not have a balance, PayPal charged your credit-card when you paid. PayPal will "reverse" the charge. Go online to your bank, and check "recent credit-card transactions", to see the original charge, and the "reversal".

If you purchased something and paid (e.g. Akshat Singhal) by PayPal, and (for whatever reason) you expect a refund from him (to your PayPal account), you should first contact your seller (e.g. Akshat Singhal) to make sure he has submitted a "refund" transaction to credit your PayPal account. If (for whatever reason) he refused to refund your payment, you can then contact PayPal to open a "dispute" in their Resolution Center. You need to open a dispute within 4 to 7 days if you cannot resolve things with your seller; i.e. don't wait a few weeks or months. PayPal will mediate your case, and they will render a decision, e.g. get your seller to refund your money after you've returned your purchase (with proof of delivery, e.g. USPS tracking). In certain cases, PayPal may even refund The money (to your PayPal account) if they find in your favor ...

Log in to your paypal account, select the payment that was made in error, and click the resolution center link near the bottom of the page. This has to be done within 45 days of the transaction. You can describe your situation there, paypal will review the information, and hopefully they will be able to cancel this payment (refund your $).

To request a refund, send the seller an email. Ask the seller to go to the Transaction Details page for your transaction and click Issue a refund.
You can request a refund up to 60 days after you pay for your item.

Here's how to find the seller's contact information:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click History.
  3. Click Details next to the transaction you want a refund for.
  4. Use the contact information to send the seller an email.
If your seller doesn't agree to refund your money, you may be able to open a dispute in the Resolution Center. You can open a dispute if you didn't receive your item or you received something that doesn't match the seller's description. (You must open your dispute within 45 days of paying for your item.)

In the Resolution Center, you can communicate directly with the seller and try to resolve the problem. If you aren't able to work it out, we may be able to help you get a refund.

Note:
  • If you paid with your debit card or credit card, your payment is refunded to your debit card or credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement.
  • If you paid with your bank account or PayPal balance, your payment is refunded to your PayPal account.

AwesomEnterprises Inc.I havent received my goods. transaction ID 79039791MU4252845

Hello,

First try to contact the seller to resolve the issue, if no response you can file a dispute. The steps below outline this process.

How do I get my money back? If you would like a refund, start by getting in touch with your seller. Most sellers welcome the chance to work out any problems.

To request a refund, send the seller an email. Ask the seller to click Issue a refund beside your payment details. You can request a refund up to 60 days after you pay for your item.

Here's how to find the seller's contact information:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click History.
  3. Click Details next to the transaction you want a refund for.
  4. Use the contact information to send the seller an email.
If the seller won't refund your money, you have 45 days from the date you paid for your item to file a dispute.

Filing a dispute

Here's how to file a dispute:
  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Resolution Center.
  3. Click Dispute a Transaction.
  4. Select Item dispute, then click Continue.
  5. Click Find transaction ID, then click the transaction ID you want to dispute.
  6. Click Continue, then follow the instructions.
If you purchased your item on eBay, go to eBay's Resolution Center to open your dispute. Go to eBay and click Resolution Center at the bottom of any page

If your dispute is not resolved or escalated to a claim within 20 days it will be closed.

Escalating your dispute to a claim

If you can't resolve your dispute with your seller, we can help. Just escalate your dispute to a claim and ask us to look into the transaction. We'll review your case and decide whether you're eligible for a refund. We can usually decide if you're eligible for a refund within 30 days.

Here's how to escalate a dispute to a claim:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Resolution Center.
3. Click View next to the dispute you want to escalate.
4. Click Escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim, then follow the instructions.
5. Click Escalate to a claim.

To check the status of your claim, log in to your account and go to the Resolution Center.

To learn more about our dispute process, look for the How to Dispute a Transaction tutorial in the Resolution Center.

I just used PayPal to pay for a item . I realized after ,that i already paid for that item .I paid the first time with PayPal also.

You will need to contact Paypal Customer service. They will be able to give you the proper steps to receive a refund for your second payment. Does the second payment show on your account as being collected by the seller of the item purchased. If so you might be able to contact the seller and have them refund the amount, if not Paypal will be able to collect the refund for you.
