If I recall correctly, there's a Gmail app for iPhone, right? You can try to import photos to Gmail with the app.

Firstly, connect your old iPhone 4S to computer via USB cable and drag photos from "iPhone folder" to an empty folder, you can name this folder "PHOTOS" .
Secondly, launch the latest version of iTunes on your computer and wait your new iPhone 6 to be detected by iTunes. After detection, click your iPhone 6 icon and tap on "Photos" from the sidebar, select copy photos from the folder on computer called "PHOTOS"
Lastly, click sync to start transferring photos from iPhone 4S to iPhone 6.
