Tips for a great answer:
First locate the wireless network icon on your computer. On Windows laptops, the icon looks like 1 or 2 monitors and is in the bottom right on the taskbar. On Macs, it's a wireless symbol on the top right.
Then either right-click the icon and select "View Available Wireless Networks" (Windows XP) or just click on the icon and select to "Connect or disconnect..." (Windows Vista). On Mac OS X and Windows 7, all you have to do is click on the wi-fi icon to see the list of available networks.
Select the wireless network and -- on Windows -- click the "Connect" button.
