We have a 2012 3150 rl fifthwheel.the cabinets above microwave are pulling out of the wall.how can i fix this problem?where are the ancor points in the wall/frame?

Studs in the wall are usually 16 inches apart. If you can locate a screw in the other cabinets, measure over every 16 inches and put in a screw with a large washer at the top part of the cabinet. You can also use brackets above the cabinet if needed. Good luck!

remove-ge-spacemaker-800x800.jpgRemove a GE Spacemaker
The GE Spacemaker series of microwave ovens are designed to be installed above an oven range, freeing up counter space in your kitchen. Some of these Spacemaker models are connected to an outside venting system to carry kitchen vapor and odors outside. Other Spacemaker models utilize a ductless system to do this. Removing a GE Spacemaker microwave oven isn't a difficult task, but, because of the size of some of the oven models, it is a two-man operation. Have a question? Things You'll Need

  • Assistant
  • Sharp knife
  • Phillips screwdriver
Instructions
    • 1 Open the cabinet above where the Spacemaker microwave oven is installed. If you see a vent in the cabinet leading to the Spacemaker oven below, your Spacemaker is vented. This vent needs to be disconnected before continuing with removal. Disconnect the vent either by loosening the duct clamps or by cutting the duct tape away with a sharp knife. Pull the vent out of the top of the oven.
    • 2 Have an assistant support the oven from below. Loosen the mounting screws connected to the Spacemaker through the cabinet bottom. Loosen the screws by turning counterclockwise with the Phillips screwdriver.
    • 3 Unplug the Spacemaker from the socket in the cabinet.
    • 4 Continue loosening the screws while your assistant holds the oven in place. Once the screws are removed, have your assistant slowly lower the Spacemaker down by lowering the front face at a 45-degree angle.
    • 5 Feed the power cable for the Spacemaker through the hole in the bottom in the supporting cabinet.
    • 6 Help your assistant slowly pull the Spacemaker forward and out of the mounting brackets on the rear wall. Once the Spacemaker is cleared of the mounting cabinet and rear wall, set it down.
    • 7 Remove the mounting bracket from the rear wall by loosening the screws.

How to remove Kenmore Quicktouch micro hood

If it's like most above-the-range microwaves, there will be 2 or 3 screws holding it from above, inside the cabinet
While supporting the unit from below, remove screws.
The rear of the unit is supported by hooking onto a bracket that is screwed to the wall behind it.
The rear needs to be lifted, then the unit should pull away from the wall. Requires some muscle.

How do i get it off the wall?? Thanks

Have two people to assist in this operation.
Remove the two screw bolts and washers [(3) & (6) in diagram] that secure the top of the microwave to the cabinet above.
Remove the tap screws that hold the release levers in place from the bottom rear of the microwave (see (5) in the first photo below.
**** CAUTION **** this step completely releases the microwave so have someone ready to support it's weight.
Release the microwave from the mounting plate that secures the microwave to the wall by pulling down the levers (see second picture) that is on the bottom of the oven. Rotate that side of the oven out slightly, then release the lever that is on the opposite side and move that side of the microwave away from the wall. 1be92a7.jpge2fad72.jpg

Instalation Instructions for Frigidaire Over the Range Microwave 850 Watt Model #FMT118EPB

HI,

Frigidaire makes several over-the-range microwave models that are all installed in the same manner. To install correctly, you must have at least 45 1/2 inches from the bottom of the top cabinet to the cooking surface of the stove to provide enough clearance for the microwave. The top cabinet must also be at least 30 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Find someone to help you, then follow the steps below to install your Frigidaire microwave.

Things You'll Need:
  • Stud finder or hammer
  • Screwdriver
  • Drill
Instructions

Pull your range away from the wall so you can work comfortably. If this is not possible, cover it with a drop cloth. Find and mark the locations of the studs in the wall behind the range. They will be either 16 or 24 inches apart.

Follow the instructions on the wall template to mark the location of the mounting bracket and the four anchor holes on the wall and the bottom of the cabinet. Drill the anchor holes. Follow the instructions on the top cabinet template to mark and drill the two holes in the bottom of the cabinet.

Attach the mounting bracket to the wall studs using the six wood screws included with your microwave. Screw the toggle nuts onto the toggle bolts and push one through each of the four drilled holes. Screw each toggle bolt until the nut is snug against the inside of the wall.
Pick up the oven with your helper. Plug the oven into the outlet and slide the oven onto the mounting bracket arms. Push the oven back against the wall. Tighten the two screws on the microwave faceplate to fasten the microwave to the mounting bracket arms.
Attach the louver to the top of the microwave with the three provided screws. Insert the two top cabinet screws and washers from the top cabinet into the microwave and fasten tightly.

Take care.

How do i take microwave off wall i took 2 bolts off in cupboard above microwave and microwave did not budge at akk.

There should be two or three bolts inside of the cabinet above the microwave. Remove all bolts and then pull top edge of microwave forward (away from wall). It pivots on a mounting plate which is secured on the wall. Pivot forward and lift microwave up a little bit off of the ledge of the rear mounting plate.

Make sure to feed the electric wire (plug) through the hole in the cabinet as you pivot and remove the microwave. Sometimes cooking grease will make the microwave stick to the cabinet. So after removing the bolts use gentle force when pulling on the microwave.fce1346.jpg
I hope this helps and good Luck!

How do I remove my Hotpoint microwave RVM 44004? Two bolts visible from the cabinet down into the microwave. Removed them with zero result. No other fasteners visible in top or side cabinets.

It is much easier for two people to remove the microhood. If attempting alone, please move the range out so you can get under the micro to support the weight. If the range stays in place, protect the top from damage.
1. make a landing site to the side to protect the floor when putting the micro down after removal.
2. Disconnect the power cord in the cabinet above.
3. loosen the two screws in the bottom front corners of the cabinet above. When removed the front of the micro will drop, be ready for the weight. Busy times, tools in hands microwave coming down in front.
4. tilt the front down. pull the cord out of the upper cabinet.
5. with micro still tilted down in front, lift the back of the unit upward to free it from the wall plate.
6. remove the fasteners in the wall plate and remove.
Congrats, begin celebration.

Remove a whirlpool over the range microwave oven

Jim here. In cabinet above microwave, locate 2 mounting bolts.
Place a box on the stove top to support the microwave once the mounting bolts are removed (you may wish to cover the box with a thick towel or small throw rug).
Procedure:
1. Unplug microwave.
2. Remove both mounting bolts from top of microwave (they secure it to the overhead cabinet).
3. With microwave front angled down onto box, pull some of power cord out of hole (to provide some moving space).
4. With microwave hand supported, remove box from stove top (a second set of hands would be helpful here).
5. HARD PART- detach top of microwave back from wall mounting plate by placing a hand under the bottom rear of the microwave and pushing up. (Wall mounting plate is screwed into the wall behind the microwave and provides both top and bottom support to the back of the microwave.)
6. Lower front of microwave until you can see about a 1-inch clearance between the top-rear of the microwave and the cabinet above it.
7. Firmly lift the microwave straight up and then bring forward. It should be free of the wall mounting plate.

How do i remove build in micowave from top stove ?

On the cabinet above the microwave there will be two screws. Hold the microwave with one hand while unscrewing the screws with the other. Once the screws are removed, the microwave will lean forward but not come off the wall. Once you have a good grip on the microwave, lift up towards the back of the microwave and it will come away from the wall.

Removal of GE Spacemaker Microwave oven

1. Unplug the microwave. The plug is probably in a receptacle that is in the cabinet above the microwave, or in the wall above the shelf that is above the microwave.

2. Remove the two (or three) screws that go straight down through the bottom of the cabinet, or the shelf, into the top of the microwave. Have help in holding the microwave when you do this, as the front of the microwave will be able to fall down when the screws are removed.

3. Allow the front of the microwave to rotate down a little, then lift the back of the unit up about 1/2" to 1". At this point, the microwave will be disconnected from the mounting plate on the wall, so you can move it forward and carry it away.
