Doesnt turn on

It has a tiny thermal fuse inside, and it's been run dry too many times. When you run it dry, the heater gets too hot and weakens the fuse. If that happens too often, the fuse breaks the circuit permanently.

It's POSSIBLE to replace that thermal fuse, but it's not easy unless you're pretty familiar with tools & fixing things. Whatever you do (or allow someone else to do), do NOT bypass that thermal fuse! That's all that stands between you and a catastrophic house fire.

Need to check if Rinse Aid is not exhausted in the dispenser. It could also be necessary to increase the flow rate of rinse aid. Also make sure the dishwasher is heating water as some dishwashers use steam to dry. If heater is faulty the steam will not be there.

Clothes are not drying, not heating up

It could be a bad heating element, but most of the time I find that a thermal fuse has blown. Find someone with a basic knowledge of electricity, unplug it and find the thermal fuses (usually 1-3 of them in the housing that directs the air from the blower to the drum. Unhook them one at a time and check them for continuity. Replace any that are open. If you find a blown thermal fuse, check the dryer and the pipe leading outside for lint buildup as this is often what blows them.

Hi, My dryer suddenly stopped drying. No power to

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting...

Won't dry

The problem is most likely a blown thermal fuse or a bad heating element. The thermal fuse should be attached to the duct just inside the back panel. It is about an inch long. The thermal fuse and the heating element should have continuity, therefore they are simple to test with an ohm meter or multimeter. If either component does not have continuity, then that component will need to be replaced. Hope this helped, and good luck.

Kenmore cloths dryer will not heat up

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.

3. Igniter
Igniter may burn out or break. Replace the igniter if found defective.

Note: Igniters are very fragile and break easily. It is recommended to handle the igniter only touching the ceramic part of it (usually white in color).

4. Flame sensor (or radiant heat sensor)
Replace the sensor (located near the igniter) if found defective.

Kenmore 70 Series

You probably have an open thermal fuse, the dryer will run in some cases and not heat, Just moving air across you clothes will dry them however it takes forever.

If you are electrical or mechanical replace the thermal fuse yourself if not call someone you trust, you can purchase thermal fuses on line from Sears.com just do a parts search for you specific dryer.
