Hello my pride scooter beeps 6 times which in the manual it tells me i'm still plugged into the charger when it is disconnected,so it wont move, can you help

The Legend 4 wheel XL scooter has a S drive controller. This is an assumption based on the model described. I would have to run the serial number to be certain. With the S drive controller a beep code of 6 indicates a bad throttle potentiometer or a throttle potentiometer which is out of neutral on start up. You can test for this by turning off the scooter and attempting to try various neutral positions of the pot, and turning the scooter on with your other hand while maintaining this neutral position. This usually works by trial and error.
The more technical way is to remove the front console covers and inspect the pot mechanism visually checking the spring and movement and electronically using a digital volt meter.
If you do indeed have a code for the charger plugged in (and of course it is not), then you have a bad charger. These chargers are notorious for going into drive inhibit when they burn out and the computer will give a code of charger plugged in. To test for this, you need to remove the cover to get to the charger and unplug the charger on the output side. If the scooter runs you have a bad charger that is stuck in drive inhibit (electronically equivalent to the scooter being plugged into an AC wall outlet). Hope this helps.

Constant beeping, won't run

The beeping on shopriders usually means that the Main Control Box is faulty. It may also be caused by the Throttle Pot being out of neutral. This is a common promlem on this model of scooter as they use a Plastic throttle control lever instead of a metal one. Unfortunately, the plastic one's sometimes slip round slightly causing the above problem. Throttle pots can be very difficult to set to neutral without a multimeter so may be best left to you local dealer.

Don't have a troubleshooting book. replaced battery charger and checked all operations. scooter beeps even with the brake in the run position?

Shoprider scooters beep when there is a problem with them. Firstly, are the batteries ok? You can obviously tell this from your battery meter on the tiller (although its not uncommen for these to fail and give false readings on shopriders). If batts are ok, you need to determine what type of main contol box is on the scooter. This will be located at the rear of the scooter, underneath the plastic shroud. Remove the seat, then the plastic shroud, to get to it. You may need to dis-connect a plug to the rear lights. If you can see a black box with ridges on, with lots of wires entering it, and it has the word Pihsiang written somewhere on it, theres a good chance it will be this that is at fault (although not difinately, could be a wiring loom problem). These boxes have no diagnostics built in, so they beep constantly when at fault. If its a different type of control box that you see, it may beep a certain amount of times to indicate what the problem is. Count the beeps and refer to your owners manual or a dealer to determine the fault. Hope I've been of some help to you.
