SOURCE: how to get am/fm stations to play. I have a hook

you can buy one online or you can make one out of audio, lamp, or antenna wire. cut about 10 ft of wire and split the wire about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way. that is to pull the two ends at one end of the wire in opposite directions. the wire looks like a T. the bottom of the T hooks to the receiver, the other end spreads out along the wall. the 2 ends at the rec. hook to fm and gnd or am and gnd. i hope i have made this clear.
reply if you need more help.

SOURCE: i have a old pioneer stereo double cassette deck reciever model # RX-Z15, i dont understand the bal/unbal fm antenna hook ups cant get reception , need to know where to hook up the antenna or what kin

Buy a 300ohm FM Y antenna wire screw the spade ends into the balance hookup and fasten the Y section on your wall, "higher the better" this will improve reception. The antenna can be purchased at Radio Shack or Tv repair shop.

    Can't pick up am channels

Do you have the AM antenna hooked up? FM and AM need a separate antenna for each. An AM antenna is usually a "loop" antenna, which is a wire coiled around a frame.

Sanyo dcx686 am/fm amp receiver no fm reception

you should be able to hook up any am/fm antenna, like the new ones that come in a square and hook it up to the two left-most spots for a radio antenna, thats how i have mine. as for the manual, you can order them off of a site(if you can find a reputable one) if you search SanyoDCX686 on google. hope thats somewhat helpful =]

How do i hook up an antenna to the pioneer sx-950

There are two antenna sources on the Pioneer SX-950.

Both of these outputs are located on the rear panel of the receiver. The AM is a permanent mount. The FM is standard RF/Coax which will run to your antenna.

Antenna Inputs: FM 75 ohm, FM 300 ohm
    Am Ferrite Bar Antenna

    Hope this helps,

Cb feedback though external am/fm speakers

    Hi Big OX,

Terrible problem.  I know what your going though.  Route your AM/FM Antenna wire, and Speaker wires separate from the  CD Antenna cable and power supply wires. If you can,  twist the speaker wires.  If the Speaker wires are run along side the CB Antenna wire for a short distance, you will pickup feedback. If you much have the Antenna wire get near the speaker wires, have the antenna wire cross the speaker wire at a 90 degree angle. Try not to run the antenna wire in paralell with the speaker wires.   Good luck

Fm reception going in and out also strange noises

Hooking up the AM antenna loop should not have fried anything, as I know lots of peeps who have done that. The FM RF amp. sounds like it may be at fault. The only way to tell if its bad is by hooking up an RF generator and I would be surprosed if you had one of those laying around. Disconnect the unit and take it to a repair shop.. If its an older model Time to get a new one. Good Luck
