There is a fuse but if there is not sound it is either that the system isn't connected correctly or the safety circuit has cut in as there is a problem.

My Yamaha YST-M101 speakers are not playing any sound at all. They are plugged in correctly and the green light turns on when I attempt to turn on my speakers. Help?!

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
if his does not fix the problem
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps you

Volume not function.

You need to be a bit clearer on the exact nature of the issue.
Please include if the unit was working and suddenly stopped producing sound (ie - speaker output fuse blew) or if you relocated the unit, and after hooking it back up, you aren't getting any sound (ie - not hooked up right) or if the volume knob isn't changing the readout for the volume level (logic or knob broken) - and also include the make and model of WHAT the volume knob is attached to (ie - Yamaha receiver model X)

Red light and beeping as if its not charged but green charge light turns on when i charge it. no sound from babys room

I just fixed my unit that had this same problem. You have to re-pair the two units... Turn the parent unit off. Hold the "volume down" button while you turn the parent unit back on. The unit should beep and flash all volume lights. Release the volume button and the press again for ~2 seconds. The volume lights will light up and stay on. Next, turn the nursery unit off and then back on. This should re-pair the two. I hope it fixes your problem!

Volume light blinking, no sound.

Plug in some headphones as they are usually always active and see if you get any sound and volume control of them.
if not the switches may be stuck .
or the output fuses blown.
it gets sticky to work inside one of these without electronics experience and you can do more damage.
The fuses are about all you are allowed to fix.
