We have a Soniq 24" TV Combo and are trying to auto scan the channels but can only get channel 44 can't move of this channel

Do a factory reset to this set and then check. There are two methods of reset. Hard reset and factory reset. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the set from the AC mains wall socket and replug lt back after 2 hour or so.
To make it a factory reset, you have to enter it's service mode. If you wish to get more details visit the site linked here. Service mode entry procedure of many popular brand devices are given. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Hey, i bought a DLP Toshiba HDTV off a guy on graigslist, when i went to go pick it up he turned it on by remote and everything worked fine as it should. When i got back to my place I tried turning it on...

These DLP tvs sometime u unplug suddenly and replug it back wright away,tv will go into protective mode and will not work wright away.Tries tv unplug, replug it back about an hour later, now the tv will reset itself back to the factory setting. The tv should work now.

Soniq 42'' QSP424T keeps freezing

I have been repairing Plasma Tvs for some 3 years now and have found most of the problems caused are by Capacitors.Once again Soniq are no different to the others. The fault is on the main Video Control Pcb.Replace Capacitor C529 which is a 470mfd25v.This cap is mounted next to an inductor coil at the top middle of the pcb. This Pcb is the one which has the tuner and all inputs on it.
Good Luck AND PASS THE WORD AROUND. LET US KEEP THE SERVICE INDUSTRY GOING.

TV freezes up most times when turned on either by remote or panel

$180 for local service repair man to replace the start up / power up circuitboard on my Soniq 42" Plasma TV. He mentioned if I'd kept using the TV any longer with this fault that it would have damaged a secondary circuitboard obviously then costing more to fix.
So anyone with a similar problem should stop using their TV asap to avoid further damage.

Power comes on but no picture

I have the same problem. After power on I just get a blue screen and no sound.

I can get a piture and sound if i do the following.

Leave the TV on for a minute or two then unplug the power while still on. Plug back in and power on. I begin to get sound, repeat and then I get a picture for a few moments then blue again. Repeat and then I get constant picture with defunct colors. I then use the remote to power off and back on an color corrects. sometimes have to repeat this as well. Sometimes it takes unplugging, replugging, and powering on up to five times before i can sit down to watch tv.
