Whirlpool washing machine won't spin after rinse cycle

hello, my whirlpool topload washing machine won't spin after it rinses..it makes this loud noise and struggles as it tries to spin. at first i though it was a bad water pump which i had replaced, but it didn't fix the problem. any suggestions?

there is a coupling between the motor and transmission that has cracked. with the crack in the coupling the transmission cant spin as fast as the motor causeing the loud noise. replace coupling to solve problem

no these machines are belt drive. your problem could be caused by a bad door switch as a safety mesure since washer goes into high speeds rpms of 7,000 plus
