A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

According to your problem, the 'Close Door' message indicates the service door is open. So first make sure that the service door is closed perfectly. If the service door is closed but you get the same error again then check the infuser is inserted correctly.

Open the service door

Remove the drip tray and the grounds container and clean it. Unlock the infuser and pull it out.

Wash the infuser under running water, without using detergents.

Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly. To remove coffee encrustations from the inside of the appliance, scrape with a plastic or wooden fork, then vacuum up the residues with a vacuum cleaner.

Replace the infuser by sliding it onto the supports and pin at the bottom, then push the PUSH symbol fully in until it clicks into place.

Then close the service door perfectly. If it doesn't solve your problem then reset the settings of the machine. It will solve your problem.

SOURCE: the door to my DeLonghi

I hope you have solved this problem by now... The door not closing properly happens when coffee grounds build up in the middle of the machine. It tends not to get everything into the waist box. You need a chopstick to fish out the grounds from behind/under the central column of the machine. You'll find a lot of coffee packed in! Then the door will close.

SOURCE: How do I descale my Delonghi Perfecta? Can't

The manual is no longer available at that link. It's better to post an answer than to simply point to a URL...

The answer:

1. Fill the tank with descaling solution (or a vinegar solution, which voids your warranty, but seems to work well...)
2. Power on.
3. Hit the P button (Program). The display changes; instead of the usual icons, you will see the "clean" icon, which looks like rain drops in a circle. (This is for rinsing the coffee drip spigots). Turn the selector wheel to switch to it an icon that looks like a bunch of dots between two vertical bars. This is the "descaling mode."
4. The bottom left button now says "Esc" next to it, and the bottom right is the OK. Hit OK to confirm you want to descale. Then dump the drip pan and put a large container under the WATER spigot (not the coffee drip spigots.) Your descaling solution will come out hot and hard. The machine may pause and re-heat at times, to make sure it's very hot. The solution is hot and acidic - BE CAREFUL! It will go through the entire tank, so use a big container, or be ready to switch it out - or put your machine over the edge of your sink for the job.
5. When the tank is empty, the machine will ask for a refill - this time give it clean water for a rinse. Hit the OK; the entire water tank will be used to rinse.

That's it!

From the question I understand that the steam jet is rushing into the cup but it is not able to draw milk. The jet of steam pulls the milk from the container (within a reasonable distance from the frother). With proper air mix from the air inlet in the frother, it generates foam. Suction of milk is enough when the milk tube connection at the frother end is airtight. Air sucked into the frother with milk (due to loose connection) reduces the suction of milk. Please try the following:
1- Make sure that the passage of milk between the milk container and the frother is not kinked.
2- Make sure the connection of the frother to the steam outlet is airtight. Air sucked in at this connection also reduces the suction of milk from the milk container.
3- Make sure the tube drawing milk from milk container to the frother is airtight at the frother end.
An extra suggestion to a related matter: Many operators feel that the steamed milk is not hot. This happens when the flow of milk id more than the steam can heat. Reduce the flow of milk for hotter foamed milk.
First slightly pinch the tube between finger and thumb to reduce milk flow. If that results in a better temperature of milk filling the cup, then you need to find a flow constrictor device.
The flow constrictor is a simple bushing with a hole through it to allow milk tube to pass through. There a screw (metal or plastic) threaded through its wall that can be tightened to pinch the milk tube and reduce the milk flow .
