Question about Hoover F7425-900 SteamVac V2 Widepath Upright Vacuum
Inside where the air is blowing through spins a a wind vane that is on a worm gear, that gear gets rusty when it sits for a long time, I made the mistake of just oiling it, and not removing all the rust, it ate up the plastic gear it turns against, you must tyake it all apart and really clean that metal worm and all the rust, then it will turn the brushes again.. There is no belt, and nothing should broken yet at this point if you clean it good. I am now hunting for a new plastic gear, it worked for about a month before it screwed it up.. so clean it good. it is also possible you gear is bad as well I suppose... the wind turbine should spin freely, clean and lube if it is not.
