Check to make sure dryer drive belt is not broken. Broken belt trips a switch.

On my whirlpool duet dryer the power turns on to my dryer but when u pushes the start button u just hear a click and nothing else happens..

the dryer belt may be broken, when you push the button you hear the motor running. you can either try and fix it your self or call a authorized dealer or service center, look in your area using the internet, yelp, call information, yellow pages, white pages, look on the machine for service calls, call sears, home depot, lowels, applicance service center, dial 0 ask for whirlpool costomer service, or service and repair shops.

If the motor runs and the drum doesn't turn the belt may be worn or broken...or you may have a faulty idler

Dryer light stays on when door is shut nd wont run

check the door switch,i don't work on lg but on any other dryer if the wsitch is broke the dryer won't start and if the light is on the switch shuts off the light and dryer will start.if you send the model number i can look up the switch for you.open the door and look around the frame where the door closes into,there should be a push button switch or a little paddle that the door hits,when you push in on the switch it should make a clicking sound or i've seen the paddle broke off.hope this helps or if you removed any wires to the door switch you might of wired it wrong

Drier button does not work when push it to start machine

You need to check the dryer door switch. I may be bad. If the timer is clicking it is probably working fine. Also you need to check that the dryer is getting power to the unit. Check your breakers and also pull the unit out and look at the dryer cord. Check the terminals for a short or burnt looking one. Once you have established you have power going to the unit, you can find where the comunication stops within it.

Dryer won't work

Hi ginisa;

There might be a thermal cutout on the motor that drives the drum. You can check this by removing the back of the dryer. Most of them come off after removing a few small bolts. Look for a red button on one end of the motor. BTW, unplug the dryer before you take the back off. If you find the red button push it in and then plug the dryer in to the wall and see if it will run.

The thermal overload is a safety device that shuts things off if the motor gets too hot. So even if it does start and run, check it closely so see if it gets hot.

Hope this helps Good Luck Loringh
PS please leave a rating if appropriate Thanks

Dryer runs like everything works but it is not heating

Check the high limit switch located at the combustion chamber tube.  There is reset button.  Push the button.  If you hear a click, then it should work.
