SOURCE: What button on Bose remote will erase material on cable box DVR?

Try 'Enter' if you haven't already. A yes/no question on a cable box is usually a toggle, so select yes and press Enter. If that doesn't work, try a different code from the system menu. (Press 'System' and go to 'remote control.')

How do I clear old deleted recordings from recorder as I have run out of room to record new programms

hi Jan

I've moved your question from Blue Ray / DVD to DVRs.

The particulars will depend on the make/model of your recorder (I'm assuming we're not talking about video tapes here) For a TiVo, go to the My Shows menu, using the remote, select a show (you may have to enter a folder first), and then use the 'Delete' button on the remote. You can usually also open an options menu for a given show that will have an option to delete it. Often, you can delete whole folders at once, if, say, you really don't need that 'Every Star Trek Episode Ever Marathon' anymore. You may also have a 'suggested shows' folder where the recorder has recorded stuff based on preference guesses. that's a good place to start since you likely care less about shows you didn't try to record in the first place.

Beyond that, the details will run wiht what sort of recorder you have.

Good Luck!

Trying to program bose univeral remote to control vip622 dvr. I have tried the codes bose suggested.

Hi my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I see you have a Bose universal remote and you want to program it to your VIP622 DVR. We do not have codes to setup other remotes to our DISH equipment. With our SD/HD receivers they are installed with a DISH universal remote that can control many different components including a Bose system. If you have any further DISH questions please e-mail me at

Remote for my 321 dvd system not working

I had a similar problem with a remote that failed. If you have a camcorder or digital camera that you can operate in video mode, you can point the remote toward the camera while recording, press buttons on the remote, and see the infrared flashing through the camera. See the video below:

If you have a working remote for some other device, try it first so you know what to expect. If the Bose Remote doesn't show activity, it must be replaced. If it does, the problem may be in the DVD player.

Good luck!

PCM 2.0

I had the same problem with my 321 system. The fix is in the cable box settings. You want to change the Digital Out on the cable choices were HDMI....Dolby Digital..and None. Choose Dolby Digital and it will show up on your Bose 321 display. I also have my cable box connected to my bose system via optical digital cable...and a digital coaxel cable from my dvr to my bose. Change that output setting on my cable box took care of the PCM 2.0 problem for me.
