SOURCE: The TV is not responding
I have just had to send a linsar 40" LCD TV back to john lewis after only 6 months of use after the remote packed up. The remote started working only intermittently then stopped altogther. I also changed the batteries ( twice in fact) without any improvement. After then using the TV for a couple of weeks using the set buttons only, the TV then became difficult to switch on until the point came when it was not possible to switch from standby to on, and the TV stopped working. After speaking to the techies at JL, they advised that there was no cost effecive repair possible and agreed to replace the set. I now have a Samsung.
