My Intertherm furnace will not shut off, the A/C cycles, but the blower runs unless I trip the breaker. I have replaced the t-stat.

It could be a couple of things; since you've already replaced the thermostat it could also be shorted wires from the thermostat to the furnace, or a siezed relay that controls the blower motor.

Intertherm MGHA-070ABFC-05 will not run/cool

Multiple problems. Eliminate thermostat first. Remove face from wall and turn on breaker. If fan still runs you have a bad board or bad relay. If fan outside is running compressor should be too. These operate on same contactor. Verify you are getting 24 volts to coil side of contactor. If odf stops working and contactor remains pulled in you have a bad motor. If odf motor stops working the compressor will shut off due to overheating.

I have a 1987 Intertherm FEH-015HA electric furnace. The issue I am having is that my blower will not shut of unless I pull the disconnect. My thermostat will operate the heating elements like normal,

You most likely have a bad fan limit / cycling switch. If you kill the power to the furnace see if you can trace the wires from the motor to where the connect to the switch. It looks like a round button with tabs sticking out of it for the wires to connect. Mark down where the wires were connected and take it to a HVAC business or furnace supply house. Be sure to have the model off the furnace with you so you can get the correct parts.

It sounds like the flame sensor is bad. If thats not the case you may need to replace the control board. You should make sure the flame sensor is directly into the flame.

Sounds to me like it is going off on a weak high limit switch. With the fan on it will prolong the event but will not stop it. I would check all of the high limit switches. It would most likely be one close to the heat exchanger.

Intertherm/nordyne furnace (24 years old)

Shut off power, get a small wrench, remove orifice spuds and clean them with toothpick. Take burners out and clean rust from them. Check and see if you are getting 24 volts to gas valve. If not replace it.

I have an intertherm electric furnace. the heat coils heat up then system shuts down

It is possible that high temp limit is shutting you down.make sure your blower is running when t-stat is calling for heat.if notstart at the heat sequencer which cuts the blower on with first bank of heat. it will be dangerous and difficult to troubleshoot this prob without a multimeter and experiance with elect. components

Honeywell MagicStat 3200 Fan continues to run--I flipped furnace breaker off for an hour, set stat to off, & flipped breaker back on. fan still runs. Fan control is on Auto.

Hello,If just installed the thermostat check that the wires are not touching anywhere. If not the case you have a open(tripped) HIGH LIMIT at the furnace and the blower will continue to run untill it is reset.

I have a ruud deluxe 80 plus furnace, the blower keeps running and it wont shut off. i have turned the thermostat off and its still running, what could be wrong?

Hi,
That could be a couple of things....
Open up the bottom cover and take the wire off of the "G" terminal that goes to the t-stat...then replace the cover and see if the blower still runs...
If it runs then the problem is intenal to the furnace, probably the integrated control board or a high limit is tripped...
If that stops the blower from running then you have a bad relay in the t-stat ora shorted wire going to the t-stat.

The furnace is blowing warm air even if the thermostat low.

The only thing that tells the unit to come on and off is the thermostat so I would definatly say it is it. When you turn the system back on, does the a/c run normally? If it does, then it's the problem with the heating side of the tstat. Also, does the fan come on when you put it to on and then turn of when you switch it back to auto? If it does, then the system is working fine, its the t-stat. Let me know if you have any more problems.
