Fixya has nothing to do with food
the advice to take it back is good as the ham may be out of date when purchased
no need to ring, take it back to the shop where you bought it and complain

I have a Teaberry stalker one 40 channel. Is it rare because most of the stalker one's I've seen are 23 channels.

if you are looking for 40 channel CB than i would look under ham radio operators, CB repair shops, if you are looking for another one, you may even look up on www.ebay.com
the ham radio operators would be where i would look and talk to.
i would look for ham radio clubs, they have swap meets all the time, old tv and radio repair shop. i have been in ham radio operations in 20 yrs and i do not know anyone. you may check out the local library., the FCC may be help you find local ham radio operator in your location. they will help you find that old equipment, than on the other side of the coin what are you willing to pay to locate an operate one is and are they willing to part with it.

good luck rod

How long can i freeze leftover ham

The answer is that it depends. I don't recommend freezing ham radios. Your owner's manual probably has specified a safe range of operation. Freezing your radio will more than likely cause permanent damage.

If you are talking about the food ham, you are in the wrong place. You can store ham frozen for as long as you want, provided you don't mind freezer burn. Generally three months is about the longest you can freeze cooked meat and maintain the quality.

LOST MY MANUAL TO MY UNIDEN BEARCAT BC142XL CAN I GET A FREE REPLACEMENT

The manual isn't online to my knowledge however I did find a guide on how to program it.
"Turn it on. Push the "MANUAL" button to stop it from scanning.

Push number 1, then push "MANUAL" again. This should leave you on
channel one.

Using the keypad enter the frequency you want to monitor, then push
"E." Press "REVIEW" at anytime to see what frequency is programmed
there. If the review button flashes 000.0000 on the LED readout
display, you might be entering an invalid frequency. Refer to the list
of acceptable frequencies in the Frequency Range Bands below.

Push "MANUAL" to step to channel number two. Enter the frequency. Push
"E." Push "MANUAL" to step to channel three. Repeat this process until
all the (10) channels are full, or you've run out of frequencies to
enter.

Push "SCAN" to start automatically scanning the frequencies. The
radio will stop when it hears someone talking, and resume scanning two
seconds after the conversation has stopped.

Frequency Range Bands:

20 to 29.7 MHz (10 Meter "Ham" Band)
29.7 to 50 MHz (VHF Low Band)
50 to 54 MHz (6 Meter Amateur Band)
136 to 144 MHz (Military Land Mobile)
144 to 148 MHz (2 Meter "Ham" Band)
406 to 420 MHz (Federal Government Land Mobile)
420 to 450 MHz (70cm "Ham" Band)
450 to 470 MHz (UHF Standard Band)
470 to 512 MHz (UHF "T" Band)"

How do I get back to regular CB channels on the 75-822? All I can get is 27.xx and 26.xx. Where are the 1-40 channels.

I'm guessing that you bought the CB from a person not a company the CB band is between 26Mhz and 27Mhz unfortunately your CB was Modded to talk on Ham radio frequency's what i would suggest is one of two things if you are good at electrical soldering get a schematic and take out the mod or look on-line for a ham radio store like ham radio outlet near you and see if they can un modd it.

if you bought it from a store return it or talk to midland to see if they can fix/reset it at http://www.midlandradio.com/Contact-Us

one other thing until the radio is fixed it is not FCC part 95 or 97 compliant and is therefor illegal to transmit with it

Bands covered by Furuno FS-1502

It doesn't appear to cover the ham bands, only maritime. This radio is also not type approved for operation on ham bands either.

You can find the freq. range in the manual at the link below:

Nice Radio though.

Two way radios

Well, As long as you are not using them all over the place, and are just using them privately, you should be fine, unless they are operating on HAM bands.

If you are just talking about 2 professional walkie talkies, then you should be ok.

The chances of the FCC bothering you are slim to none considering there are only 16 field offices in the usa.

those licenses are really for big companies etc.

If you are using them privately and not for business, you have nothing to worry about.

only other thing you can use is GMRS, ones you buy at walmart or a sporting goods place, but other people with the same radio can listen in.

Oven vent

I talked to Sears Customer Service (who seemed to have heard of the problem) and they gave me Kenmore's number. The

There is no recall for the oven, but the person on the phone told me there was a design enhancement / adjustment that would stop the condensation on the back panel. The person I spoke with at Kenmore said there was a related product bulletin SF22-727 (for model 79095412102), but that that was only available to the technicians.

However, once the back panel is melted/yellow -then I think it needs replacing and I think that part costs about 100 in addition to the design adjustment.

I decided it was cheaper to buy a newer (used) oven than have the vent fixed/panel replaced.
