Hello Adrian;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
Below is a picture of your timer switch. Also is a video of how to replace the timer switch. You must play and stop the video watching where each color or combination of colors go to each terminal. Orientate your timer in the same position the person in the video is holding the new timer.

It you purchased a new timer switch there will be a wiring schematic in the box. The schematic may be difficult to read.
A new timer will cost $65.00-$85.00 USD

Good Luck,
Peter, Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Where can we purchase Aube 7-Day Programmable 40-500w Light Timer Switch

You might be looking for T-1032 or T-1034 500watt timer
Identify model number on following link, and then google-search that specific model.
Link to instruction manual appears for each timer.

Honeywell Aube in-wall timers can be used for single-pole or 3-way applications.
Look at instruction manual carefully for 3-way wiring.
Timer can be used for incandescent, halogen and CFL with minimum wattage requirement.
Since Aube timers have internal battery, they cannot be exposed to freezing temperatures or high temperatures.

Think I need a washer timer switch. Washer works when we move timer manually so I think it neews a new timer. Can you help me? Derek

Hi, You are correct in saying you need a new timer. When you have to move it by hand, the drive motor inside the timer has either quit or gears are stripped out. You will need your complete model number and then contact your nearest washer repair center to purchase the new timer. Hope this helps,

I purchased the 6161T Preset Electronic Timer Switch and I am struggling to hook it up. I am trying to install it in a Hallway that has two switches for the same light. I have a Red, Black and White wire...

The timer you have purchased will not work for 3-way switching.

We know this because the wires are color-coded.
And you have 2 black wires.
Good job providing that information so I can see what you have.
Both your timer wires are black, and that tells the electrician that the timer is made for single-pole only.

That being said, there are timers that have the same color wires as your 3-way switch, but the timer has to say it works for 3-way circuit.
Usually the instruction sheet or package will say, 'for single-pole.'
Or it will say, 'for single-pole and 3-way.'

1) Aube makes programmable 7-day timers for a 3-way installation.
But this timer is not for countdown.

2) I am searching the web for a 3-way countdown timers, and Levition offers one, but they require you to replace both 3-way switches and then install a 'master-and-remote' combo.
This means each timer is a different model number.
If you want help sorting out that purchase, add a comment and I will research the Levition site.

3) Smarthome sells a countdown timer for 3-way circuits.
It appears to be exactly the product you are wanting.
The product has 95 ratings with 4-1/2 stars
The product manual is right there on the Smarthome page.
They provide an installation video.
Smarthome is very customer friendly.

I specialize in timers and electrical devices, but I do not know the product shown above.
However I can help you install it.
Add a comment and I will help further.

GE digital timer model 15086 doe not work

This timer requires a neutral wire, it may or may not be present in the back of your box as a group of wire nutted whites. It is NOT the single white switch leg.

T104 clock stopped running. must now use switch

Yes, you can replace the timer motor to solve the problem. For the Intermatic T104 you'll need to purchase the 208/277 volt timer motor. Part number is WG1573.

If you don't want to mess with replacing just the timer motor you can purchase a new timer and swap just the guts with the old timer as long as the existing enclosure is still in good shape.

Timer quits shutting the lights off and time flashes 12:00AM

Intermatic is a reliable mfg. if you have a it wired to directly to a light and only a light, you most likely have a defective timer. Bring it back and purchase a rotary timer with on-off switch. more reliable. I too installed the same type of timer and went through 3 before installing intermatics rotary timer/switch.
