I asked a Wurlitzer engineer about this problem and he simply said, "Bend it a bit."

Sounds horrible but there is no genuine adjustment. But before doing that, try moving the carousel lock latch (at the 5 oclock position). This is what locks the carousel and determines its position when the correct CD number is reached. If you could ****** or advance it a little it might work.

SOURCE: Wurlitzer arm keeps running

check the white plastic actuator next to the gear box, it is probably broken and not actuating the microswitch underneath it, these often fail, it may look ok,, but it actually is loose and the set screw on top of it is not clamping it to the rod.

SOURCE: Wurlitzer 3600 series wont select a record ?

If the buttons don't latch in, the machine is not in credit. Put on free play or put some money in.

SOURCE: I have A Wurlitzer OMT 1015 Vinly 45 RPM . Not able to make a selection from buttoms. The LED display does not light up and can not get any credit on the credit buttom. Is this a motherbroad problem?

Check the fuses behind the coverplate of the amp on the left. If it is a K99 it comes off by loosening the two nuts at the top then flexing it and popping the bottom edge off. If it is a Compact amp you can see the fuses.

I have a Wurlitzer 1015 OMT 50-Disc model. Is it possible to upgrade it to handle 100 discs? Thank you. Steve W.

It is possible.
If it is a 100 cd carousel then it is a simple computer setting.

If it is a 50 cd carousel you need a credit computer able to recognise 100 selections, a 100 slot carousel and a latch bracket for a 100 cd carousel.
I have never done it but it is definitely possible.

Hello, I have a problem with WURLITZER 1015 OMT CD 100D. The arm go to pick up the CD, but returns in the same time as it lock the cd in the gripper.Result is the CD is supported on two points instead of 3...

The carousel is locked in position by the latch at the front (about 6 oclock). If the gripper isn't exactly in line with the cd then you need to adjust the latch a bit.

OMT Gripper Issue

There's a spring wound round the shaft of the rod that drives the gripper gears. Oil very lightly. The gearbox rotates when it puts the arm back but the arm is held against the driving part by this spring so if it is sticking the arm will not turn over properly even if the drive shaft is doing what it is supposed to.

Record Changer Arm

When the carousel reaches the correct count, the computer sends a signal to the gripper motor to start it. You could have a bad motor or a bad computer. But!....if the little switch at the front of the machine is in the off position (Gripper motor On/Off) that will give exactly the same effect. It's easy to knock Off when you are loading CDs.

Wurlitzer 3600 series

The microswitch at the base of the gripper arm is what enables the scan motor when the gripper is over the carousel. You will probably find that the small lever on the base of the tone arm is not clicking the microswitch properly.
