Sounds like it's rubbing against a dislodged belt. That's the first thing I would look for.

Broken Timer? My OLD Kitchen Aid Quiet Scrub Dishwasher no longer advances through cycles automatically--I have to turn the knob manually for every step. It works fine other than that.

Hi Spring

All depends where you are and wether you can get Parts.
Is the timer accessible?
Timer is driven by a small clock motor.
Could it be fixed or lubricated.
Give it a service and save money!
Good luck

I have to turn my tub back and forth to get it to go, spin or agitate, if I don't it makes a loud buzzing, then shuts down completely for an unknown amount of time.

there's an overload on the motor that will pop if the machine is trying to run and can't,then when the motor resets it will try to run again,it sounds like you have a bad motor, when you do get it to work does it spin and agitate normally,if so i'd say the motor is bad,if it still spins slowly you could have something locking up in the tranny. but usually a buzzing sound is the motor.how old is the machine?i mean you didn't send any info and this is under kitchen ranges so the best advice i can give to you is if the machine is old or beat up looking i would just change it out instead of putting any money into it,if it's fairly new it's your decision if you want to sink any money into it or not for a new motor

Machine drum makes loud noice in the spin cycle. Makes the same sound that a top-loading machine makes when it goes out of balance. Help.

  • Hi,
  • Try these:
  1. Balance the load
  2. Level the machine
  3. Inspect the water pump for a blockage
  4. Inspect the coupling
  5. Inspect the transmission
  6. Adjust the drive belt tension
  7. Check the motor bearings
  8. Check the drum brakes

My kitchen aid mixer makes a clicking sound when it is on and will not mix properly. It spins, but sounds bad.

Check the motor brushes. You'll see two black plugs with flathead screwdrivera small one, Unscrew to check, if only springs or very worn, youll, know. Its a maintenance problem.

Kitchen aid dry motor noise

Try taking it apart again and try to turn the motor by hand. It should spin freely. If it does you've probably got a bad motor. If it is stiff or doesn't turn at all, then you might have missed something putting it back together. I wouldn't think you can overtighten the blower, it is probably something else, and with it apart it should be easy to see.

When replacing direct motor coupler not enough?

Gear case part # 3360629 retails for about $170.
This dosn't happen very often.
You can find a junk whirlpool, roper, kenmore or kitchen-aid and pull the motor and gear case to save $$$$$

Maytag washing machine repair

The water pump may be going bad...Yes it probably is a bearing. Take the belt loose and try turning each pully until you find one that makes noise or is hard to turn. Pump and motor should both spin very easily with out noise.
