I had the same problem of no display. I think the problem has to do with the video memory or display chipset. Try using a good add-on display card, 64-bit if possible

Hi FAYU,
First make sure that the monitor is plugged into power and properly connected to the tower. If it is, does it sound like the server is actually powering up even though you are not getting display? If the server is powering up, then I would suspect the monitor to possibly be faulty. You can troubleshoot this by attaching another monitor.
If the server is not powering up, then you may have a faulty power supply or faulty processor.

In order to change the boot drive you have to change the boot settings in BIOS, or sometimes you can get a separate boot menu which allows you to change this setting on a one-off basis. During the boot sequence you need to press the "F12" button during the POST testing to bring up the boot menu if one is available, otherwise you need to press the "Del" or "F2" button during the POST process to bring up the Bios screens. Navigate to the BOOT option and alter the boot sequence, save the settings, exit BIOS and reboot.

I need to install windows server 2003 (standard edition) on a HP Proliant ML110 G4 server but I do not have the easy setup CD (smart start CD) and it would not have me install directly from the OS...

here is the download link for the easy set up cd, this is for the ml110 g5, however it is backward compatible so it should work in the ml110 g4

I have an proliant ml110 G5 server, with windows XP professional, but I can´t find the vga driver, can you tell me please, where can I find this? best regards

Richard the thing is that this server is running an operating system that is designed for a desktop, you will not find a driver for a ml110 g4 for windows xp, however the design of winxp is similar to the one of windows server 2003, so i am sending you the link for the driver for windows server 2003 give it a try and please let me know if it worked for you?

My ML110 G4 powers down automatically. We have checked all the usual culprits for power management to no avail. Someone has suggested that it is because it is not set up as a domain controller, which I...

Boot it and select the option to run diagnostics.
Otherwise boot it from the HP Deployment CD that came with the server and run diagnostics.
If this does not make sense, call HP.

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Try safe mode boot, hit F8 or F5 fast in beginning of boot process. You may have to try this a few times to get timing just right.
