SOURCE: ipod not turning on/not recharging

I think your ipod is dead. This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and itwill start charging.

I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

SOURCE: Phone won't Turn On!!!

If just removing the battery dont work... Remove the sim and battery then put the battery back without the sim. Try hard reset now. Tmobile wanted to send me a new phone til I figured this out. They now have this solution in their tech notes.

SOURCE: Canon A710IS Battery Drains Quickly

I have the same problem too. It's just started happening. The camera is about 3 years old. I've cleaned the battery contact points with an eraser and ensured there's contact. All seems fine. I only get about 5 shots out of brand new AA batteries, then a black screen with message 'change the batteries'. Can anyone help?

SOURCE: my canon powershot sd 1200 wont turn on.

Hi,
Check whether your batteries are actually making contact with the battery posts, and that these posts are clean. If not, bend the posts up/down a little, and maybe clean them with a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip. Or if that does'nt work our for you , if your camera uses Compact Flash, check to make sure all pins are present and aligned in the card slot (if bent, simply unbend/straighten them with a skinny "jewelers" screwdriver, then insert the flash card for final realignment).

Thank you !!

SOURCE: canon g7 dead wont turn

That's a loose screw issue inside the G7 and the G9 that is common. The best place I know to get help for that one would be camerasandparts.com They just specialize in the powershots and they are awesome if you need help with one of these. Best of luck, they have your exact G7 no power problem right there on their site. I hope that helps.

Battery life nikon coolpix s3000

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in today's power hungry digital cameras. Some batteries may also have reached their shelf life at the store, and though brand-new right out of the package may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. The one's that came with your camera are just to show you that the camera works, but as you've discovered, they'll only last for a few pictures. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with modern rechargeable batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you should see the same recommendation.
Modern rechargeable batteries have over 5 times the power density of alkaline batteries (that's right, they last up to 5 times longer than an alkaline battery. And you can recharge them over and over!). Keep in mind rechargeable batteries will save you much money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Milwaukee tool 18 volt nimh battery won!t charge

If the battery pack is more than 2 years old its time for a replacement. The typical charge/discharge life cycle of a rechargeable cell is 500 - 700 times and the shelf life is about 3-4 years from the date of manufacture. If the charging indicator lights up when you dock the battery on to the base and still does not work after 5 hours - its due for a replacement.

Are you still using alkaline batteries (or worse yet "super heavy duty")? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in today's digital cameras. I have a Canon Powershot A710 Digital camera. The batteries never lasted very long before they ran out. I have tried various brands but the life per charge has always been very limited. Any suggestions?...

Digital cameras for the most part should only be used with rechargeable batteries. Modern rechargeables are 3 to 5 times more powerful than alkalines. And you can recharge them! These days many retailers sell these for around $7 for a package of four (about $15-19 for the batteries with charger). Keep in mind they'll save you big bucks in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many, many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may slap yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

What does change the batteries message indicate when new batteries are installed? Canon S2 IS will not turn on in camera mode but reads "change the batteries" even with new batteries.

Camera will not go on

If you push the power button and do not see any signs of life at all, it is most likely a blown fuse. In this model disassembly is required to replace the fuse, and it is soldered onto the main power board. If there are signs of life, but the camera does not function there are other explanations. Jammed lenses are the most common cause of power-on failure. Check with your manufacturer for recalls and warranty service information. Failing that you can find a repair provider online.
